Don't worry about 1 C during freshman year! I had a C in geometry freshman year but i was still able to get into a UC. ohhh I'm going to UCD in the fall. So it's ok to have 1 or 2 C's i think.

gl on ur studies. u can do it!

As long as you improve sophomore and junior year, you're fine. I had a bunch of C's in math. xD I still got into a good UC.
They're also looking for improvement, 'cause they know Freshman year's like... the transition year.

I got a C in AP Calculus last year and a D and a C in AP Statistics this year. And a C in AP Chemistry last year. And a C in French. All of these were semester grades, mind you. But I still got into UC San Diego. Of course, my SAT score might have had something to do with that.

I got a C in Honors Geometry AND a C in Honors Biology freshmen year & I got into all the UC's I applied to.
It's no biggie. Just show improvement & you'll be fine.

ohh psh. you're only a freshman dont worry.
the UCs dont calculate freshman grades in gpa.
though they will get to look at them.
just do well enough in 10th and 11th and you'll be fine.

I read in a newspaper that 9th grade report card is not considered by UC system; only 10th, 11th. and 12th.

Also it's question #3 on this UC site: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/educ...alculating.html

Ohh, don't worry about your C. It's only freshman year so it's not that bad.

I got a C+ (a freakin PLUS!) on my second semester for alg2 for sophomore year....

I feel really blah about it.... Should i be worried about not getting into a UC? ><

*also a C in ChemHnrs T__T

Just to let you know...UCs don't look at freshmen year grades ;]

My friend got a C. The worst that can happen to him is not getting into the honors math class next year.

^ That's weird, I didn't think you could apply to the UC system with Ds and below.
