My family has one. I don't use it though, my mum usually does.
We put ours in our theatre room where we have a big TV. Whenever my mum uses it she just shuts the door so it doesn't disturb neighbours.

i live in a town house and i have a noraebang. i use it alot whenever my friends come over and stuff. the neighbors dont complain, so i'm guessing they can't hear it. because...we get pretty loud.
