DSP would probably have to dish out another SS501 or FinKL to recoup the losses of the settlement if it really is that big.. LOL which i doubt it would be..

and if the producers of do something are not 2/3 korean... this wouldnt be an issue in the first place... no sane american producer would go around suing ppl half way around the world for this unless he/she has lost all forms of income and are looking for ways to earn some money cause he/she is broke !!! it wouldnt do their career any good....

I sort of ship Hyori/Wonbin. Or at least really want them to do something together. She's not that bad of an actress, hopefully she'll be able to do another drama sometime. It's a crying shame Yuri couldn't do Spring Waltz.

ok u guys. i think this whole plagarism issue is getting to the point where its beyond just plagarism. hyori's image is like seriously so over right now in korea. sigh. i feel rly bad cus ppl (both ppl on the internet and reporters) are taking this way too far and shes getting so much BS over something so small compared to how ppl are treating her.


Anyway....Hyori's stopping all activities including her 'PARTNER' stuff on SBS that was planned earlier (I have no idea what PARTNER is, but she cancelled it).

After the plagarism issue of the song Get Ya, Lee Hyori, who was planned to be the new main character of the BanJun Drama episodes, have cancelled her activities for the show.

On SBS "Eeel Yo Eeel ee Joh Ta" (the show with the PARTNER segment) , Hyori were to work with 6 other dancers for the first episode that was supposed to be aired on the 6th of April. On the 18th, she already filmed the first part of the episode, but after the dilemma with Britney Spears' "Do Something", she ended up just cancelling the filming of the next part on the 25th

Lee Hyori's entertainment company DSP says "PARTNER is something that Hyori really wanted to do, so she was going to cancel everything BUT this, but she was still shaken up more over this than we thought and we don't think she can go out and film with a smile so we asked SBS to forgive us and cancel her schedule."

They also added, "Hyori's having such a hard time right now that she even wants to stop her stardom for good-- so DSP has decided to give her the time to take a break from everything. We are sorry for the inconvenience and once Hyori finds her normal days back, she will be up again and continue her album activities."

Hyori has cancelled activities from KMTV Show! Music Tank, KBS Eum Ack Hwae, Music Core and other programs.

이효리의 소속사인 DSP엔터테인먼트는 "'파트너'는 이효리가 무척 하고 싶어하던 기획이어서 이 프로그램만은 촬영한다는 입장"이라면서도 "하지만 이번 논란으로 큰 상처를 받은 탓에 다음날 웃으며 촬영하기 힘들다고 판단, 제작진에 양해를 구하고 촬영 일정을 취소했다"고 밝혔다.

이어 "이효리는 연예 활동에 대한 회의를 느낄 정도로 힘들어 하고 있어 제작진도 시간을 주겠다는 쪽으로 이 같은 상황을 이해해줬다"면서 "제작진과 차후 프로그램 일정에 대해 논의할 예정이며 평상심을 찾은 후 촬영에 복귀할 예정"이라고 덧붙였다.

한편 이효리는 24일 음악전문채널 KMTV '쇼! 뮤직탱크', KBS 1TV '열린음악회'와 25일 MBC TV '쇼! 음악중심' 등의 방송 프로그램 출연을 모두 취소했다. 그러나 소속사는 "논란이 이는 상황에서 '겟 차'로 활동한다는 게 무의미하다고 판단, 후속곡 '쉘 위 댄스' 준비를 위해 조금 일찍 활동을 접은 것 뿐이며 절대 표절을 인정하는 것은 아니다"라고 강조했다.

and i read the very same article in icfinkl.. here's some stuff from what i gathered...

1) Hyori's cancelling her Banjun drama eps
2) Hyori's cancelling her sports dance show
3) Hyori's stopped perfoming Get Ya, yesterday 27/03 at KBS Music Bank was her last Get Ya perf, apparently. that's why i think she added a special touch to her perf, with a cage and all.. DSP says she finds no more meaning in performing Get Ya, with all these rumours getting her down. so they'll get on with Shall We Dance asap.

Im sorry to say..but i really think this something they should of known that was going to come there way... As a gasoo she took the risk of coming out with a song that had some similarites with a HUGE HUGE popstar known all over the world. regardless of how popular do somethin' was.. she/and the writers/producers made it way too similar to the do somethin'.... and like everyone said before the criticism is two times more harsh since shes a big star in korea and everyone expected something better..

Although i want to defend her.. i can't cause.. she/her company/producers/writers... did make a mistake along the way...

And hopefully this will be a HUGE wake up call to all the singers in Korea.

yeah honestly her and DSP were rly dumb for doing this and im glad this is happening to KPOP in general and i agree with the situation

but of course as a fan, i cant help feeling bad for her. no matter how wrong she's done with this and no matter how much i agree that she and DSP deserves this, i just feel bad that she has to be the one caught.....well not caught--more like tattled on.

Someone in Korea sent the song to an American music company to show the comparison and accused that she plagarized

Brit's song writers heard it and agreed that there were a lot of parts of the songs that were plagarized and sued her producers.

wait a minute--- it's already been confirmed that her producers lost the case? where did you get that piece of news from, Susie?

and i really think Hyori's been screwed over by all this BS.. though she and her producers and DSP made the mistake of even allowing such 'plagiarism' to happen, i also think some of the criticism she's receiving is going waaaay overboard. as a fan i really want to defend her because at least they've acknowledged that there's some similarities between the songs-- it's not like they're completely unrepentant and therefore deserve to be bashed upon so badly..

however, i don't believe that Hyori's "really done and over with now". it's true that her and DSP's reputations have been affected, but i also believe that Hyori has enough faithful fans who will create that "miracle" to get her back up on her feet. not necessarily to the "goddess" status that she used to enjoy-- but at least not "done and over with"..
