What's a daesang (or daesung) award. Is it a popularity award or an excellence award? I read in some thread (I think Yen posted it), that Hyori was surprised to win and felt she did not deserve it when she won the award in 2003.

Larry i'm not really sure myself.. but whatever it is, it's a very very prestigious award-- i think Hyori snagged 3 in 2003? people slammed her because they said she wasn't touched or anything when receiving the awards.. but Hyori said it's because she didn't feel deserving enough of the awards, that's why she was unhappy..

Anyway, that taebin shirt looks cool as hell. Hmmm...I would make myself a hyori shirt but then it would only be an iron on. Those things ussually fade when you wash it so I want something with more quality. Any suggestions?

LOL~ maybe you can just go to any t-shirt printing shop and ask. all you have to do is just give them the image in high resolution, and they'll settle the rest of the shirt for you. usually if you print in bulk it'll be cheap, but if you're printing just ONE shirt, it could be helluva expensive..

okie u guys...i know this may sound really annoying/mean/negative....

but im just finishing up translating the last two letters i've received for the hyori love project-- but i sort of realized something:


i know janice and linda unni has been working very very hard on the letters but if they aren't printed out or if money hasnt been spent on them...

i sort of, kind of , maybe >_< think we should just write hyori a new set of letters that isn't dealing with like "support her thru the plagiarism issue." it made soooooooo much sense at the time we thought of it, but it seems like she's pretty much back on her feet and working to start brand new again and i dunno if shes still struggling emotionally with all that happened, but maybe if she's trying to put it back in her past and then all of a sudden get a whole bunch of letters saying "feel better." about the subject, it might seem sort of out of place or even maybe a bad reminder??

i dunno, maybe we could change it to something like "we love you" or just talk about loving her in general terms rather than spotlighting on the negativeness--

i know it sounds like a horrible input, but my friend mentioned the thought to me after i told her what i was translating and at first i was like all "no~~" to what she said, but i then re-thought it over and she made sense in a way, too.


but i dunno-- a lot of the letters seemed to also talk about the general love the writer had for her, too so maybe it's alright. im sorry i really DIDNT want to bring it up cus it might make some people feel bad and i know a lot of u guys worked hard for this--but i just decided to mention anyway, for like risky cases of results of all of this. *cringes feeling sorry*

well, yeah-- it's just a thought. what do you guys think?
