This is the replacement for the Honda NSX..looks kind of plain compared to the GTR and Lexus LFA.

From what I can see I like it but it doesn't have the bodylines of the previous NSXs. I really like simple body styling with a few sharp and bold lines here and there. The front resembles the Saturn Sky, which to me is a good thing. The rear looks unique. If the spoiler lights is a large continuous brake light like the previous NSXs, that would be hot. I don't really dig the dual stacked exhaust pipes. The single outlet would work better IMO. Are there any artist renderings out there?

it better not look anything like the previous design. i think people would like a change from the 14 year old design.

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

it's probably not the final design. they could be just using another shell to test the engine again. they used an s2000 body last time

Where is the elegant NSX side profile that we all love?

If it was another test mule, they wouldn't cover up the panels.

They completely revamped the chassis because it's no longer a mid-mounted engine, but an FR setup. This is a disappointment for many diehard NSX fanboys, but my buddy was happier with his 1st gen when he heard about this.

Looks like Acura will pursue a supercar war directly with the LF-A. Both cars' basic shapes look very similar thus far.

EDIT: I'd like to correct myself. The rumors over a year ago said the 2nd gen NSX would have an FR setup. Both these chassis appear to have that classic FR profile, but the LF-A has a midship engine in it's plan, so the NSX successor will most likely be midship as well.

2nd EDIT: I just read the article and they're saying it's an FR because there are no rear intakes? It's still a mule so I hope they have hidden rear intakes so it goes on a true, all out battle with the LF-A which I have full fanboy confidence in. Either way this conflict will be classic. You Honduh people outnumber me, but TOYOTA FTW! tongue.gif

I agree. I still can't believe Toyota made that.

I thought Andrew posted pictures of the undisguised NSX because the body lines are so similar, and they are using very similar rims. I think he got his point across, very similar looking. At this point they should rename the car. I just hope it performs as well as the LF-A.
