It was announced on Tuesday, June 17, that �Hannah Montana� star/slut Miley Cyrus is going to host a spectacular awards show, 2008 Teen Choice Awards.

She is the only one who has been chosen as the host of the awards, which will air on August 4 at 8 P.M. PST on Fox. The 10th annual awards show, which celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, comedy, sports and fashion, will be held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

This will be the first time for Miley, hosting an awards show by herself. She apparently will got double success that she serves as the host of the awards and at the same time is nominated in a few categories. She gets four nominations for Choice TV Actress: Comedy, Choice TV Comedy, Choice Music: Single and Choice Music: Female Artist. For Choice Music: Female Artist category, she competes against Britney Spears, Fergie, Mariha Carey and Rihanna


Meanwhile, Fox has already announced the nominees, including Hollywood A-list celebrities who receive multiple nominations. They are Chris Brown, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Jonas Brothers, Hayden Panettiere, Lil Mama, and also Miley.

yet no one complained that much and called her a slut, she got praised.

Most people that see new teen boppers, and compare them to "Their" Teen boppers. My mom did it for New Kids on the block, for backstreet boys and N[somthing...] Sorry.

They just don't think, she compare to their teen idols. It's forever a on going trend, and thats just plain sociology

Anyway kids have put there Trust in Disney since the start of the other teen boppers. Have you see the old Disney Channels. People worship them. It's just a lot of people have lost faith in Disney. No matter how many great stars came from it.

I actually still like Duff. But I won't compare Miley to her.

I'm not condoning anyone's behavior, but people don't act like "Hannah Montana" or "Lizzie Mguire" in real life, and we arent talking about "kids" hating Miley, I'm talking about a bunch of 16, 17, 18, 19+ people hating her because her music "sucks" when it's obviosly for small children, because she smiles too much (since when is smiling a crime?) and calling her a slut because she took a photo with a sheet around her and because she took a picture with boy if that's true than I guess most of the 16yr olds posting pics with their bfs in the 411 section are sluts to right? (sarcasm) next thing you know she will be eating a popsicle and people will say "That means she gives head alot so I will hate her"

Dude, they did the same thing to Britney, Christina, Mandy, Jessica, when they started out. You may not remember it because when they came out. You were under the -16 Bracket. I admit some old songs I listen to when I was a kid, were just plan stupid. But not at the time! Ex: There was Dream Street - Sugar Rush.

All I am trying to say this is not new, its just seems bigger because of the internet. I mean how do you think the grudge kids felt when "Pop" got huge in the late 90s, and hasn't really let go since.

Second. I don't recall any other Disney star taking pictures of boyfriends, and having a wild Myspace Page. If your going to be a Teen idol for all those under -16. Then you best act like it, because people as you say over +16, are not going to let it fly.

It's a new trend to speak what you think. I mean did you hear Vanessa Hudgens New song about the shoes. I don't like it, but I bet many kids under -15 love it. To be honest I only heard 2 of Miley songs. I am not going to go looking for more. Hear Music is not aimed for my age group I don't believe, even if its universal.

Now my mother LOVES Disney, and she bought High school Musicals CD 1&2, but I don't see my mom booming to Miley.

People are going to think what they want, and when they want, Just because. Yes bystanders that stand up her in offense will be knocked down, and most of them are -16. But its not going to change normal human functions.

I didn't even know who she was until the online Dance off with ACDC. She's kinda growing on me, and does seem like a nice girl, but her action are immature and that just shows flaws. And everyone loves to knit pick at Flaws.

1. I remember when Britney came out, I barely heard anything about her being a rainbow, she was america's sweetheart even though she went out and got a boob job and took a raunchy rollingstones photoshoot. I didnt start hearing "slut" until she released "Britney"

Same here. I actually like Hannah Montana. Even britney but she went to rehab and stuff. I don't get why people compare them even though they both started in Disney theirs no similarity what so ever
