I purchased a used 2007 350z and the seats are cloth and on top of that there's ciggar holes in the seats. I want to replace the cloth seats to a red tone 100 % Plush Vinyl© from this website. But I heard that vinyl can stick and burn you and it's not a good idea to purchase that type of material.

you might not want to get seat covers or anything of that short if u have side airbags mounted on the seat. not only will this prevent the airbag from deploying if it needs to, but i think u can also get in a lot of insurance hassle if you do get into an accident and they find out the airbag could not deploy or what not because if was covered hence, not paying for any of ur coverages.. i would look for a company that makes the cover that allows the airbag to deploy or just get 350z seats from ebay or something.

You cant install anything, you have to take it to a place that does upholstery to get leather/vinyl. During the summer vinyl/leather can get hot if you dont park in a shaded area. In my opinion, cloth>vinyl/leather. Leather is more a luxurious kind of thing....I have leather seats and I rather switch them to cloth.

yea i agree with you regarding vinyl/leather in the summer.. we have leather in our odyssey and in the summer its really really hot to sit on especially with shorts.. and in the winter, its really really cold hahaha but one good thing is, u never get shocked when u get out. everytime i leave the camry which has cloth seats, i always get shocked but not in the odyssey haha.
but if you want vinyl, go with it haha. just know it gets really hot/cold during summer/winter

^ on top of worrying about seasonal things, you have to take really good care of the vinyl/leather or else it'll crack or rip.
But the plus side is that it's easy to clean....kind of

Sorry but what does the airbags have to do with the seats? I'm lost.

vinyl is basically leather, just made out of plastic instead. My dad had a truck about a year ago that had vinyl in it. it was perfectly fine and no problems. It was tough, smooth, and basically like leather. but then again it was from the manufacturer and not from a random website.

if you look on the side of the seat, there might be something that says SRS side airbag.. if you have this, you cannot/should not get a seat cover. if it doesn,t then u dont need to worry..

I don't have much experience with vinyl, but if it is anything like leather then I'm all for it. I love leather. I have tint and always use window shades so I never have the burn problem. In the winter leather is cold at first, but warms up and keeps you warmer.
The SRS thing I didn't know about. So if it has a tag sticking out of the stitching, then you shouldn't cover it? Why is this? I thought the airbags don't have anything to do with the seats.

If you put a cover on the seats over the side airbags, then the side airbags wont deploy when u get in a crash because of the covers. Therefore defying what they were there for.
