Usher Raymond IV son to Jonetta Patton (née O'Neal) and Usher Terry Raymond III, is an American R&B and pop singer and actor who rose to fame in the mid-late 1990s. Currently selling 30 million albums worldwide, he has won 5 Grammy Awards and is also the part owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers National Basketball Association franchise. He also owns a record label called 'US Records.'
His breakthrough success came around in his fourth studio album, Confessions which was released on March 23rd, 2004. The album's 1.1 million unit first week sales was the highest first week numbers ever scanned by a male R&B artist in Soundscan’s 13-year history.
In September the same year, he did a duet with Alicia Keys to the song (and my personal favourite ;]) 'My Boo,' which peaked at number one and gave him a total of twenty-eight weeks on top of the U.S. charts.
Anyway, he recently released an album called Here I Stand which my brother downloaded, and let me just say that he never ceases to amaze me. i love the songs in there.. you guys should listen to it if you ever have the time
