I can't believe there wasn't a thread on this earlier. This is a great manga--without a doubt. I read the first part and I'm currently reading the second part. There is a third part but it's a short one-shot. It's definitely a must read because the art is beautiful and the story is not bad. It's for mature audiences because of nudity, violence, and gore.

Dogs (This is the introduction to the characters.)
In a post apolyptic world devoid of seasons, where man's "golden age of technology" ruined earth and caused science to run amok, there live four individuals looking for a door to the hell far below the surface. Through a series of coincidences, the ex-hitman-now-bartender Mihai, the deranged and psychopathic Haine, the vengeful yet kind Naoto, and the freelancer Badou meet one another.

A continuation of the series Dogs: Stray dogs howling in the dark.

This is a one-shot that sits between the original "Dogs: Stray dogs howling in the dark" mini-series and the following full series "Dogs: Bullets & Carnage".

^^ GREAT! DOGS IS GREAT, and completely underrated, wouldn't you agree? It has little to almost no romance, but the action is sweet.

Miwa Shirow's effort in this piece is amazing in all aspects--art-wise and story-wise. It's so interesting and every chapter adds to the plot. There is no filler, and the relationships/connections between the characters are exceptional. It's so cool how they could all be connected becuase of a single person and a single messed up past. Not only that, but Miwa Shirow's characters stand alone without need of funky hair styles or anything dramatic to their physical appearance. There may be an eye patch or scar here and there, but no unbelievably strange hair colors (pink, lime green, sky blue), and their apperance is near normal, almost plain. Of course, they are so impacting without that extra stuff and that's so rare. They also have a sense of realism to them (in art and personality), which increases the plainness, but again, makes them able to stand without unnecessary filler features. This is genius, grade A work.
