I am transferring to UCSC in Fall 2008..I am so anxious!

I feel really insecure because I am an international student (cough, um, a fob, as most of the locals usually refer to lol) and I am so used to living in places that have a lot of Asians around me.....i guess its the comfort zone thingy, not like I reject mingling with people from other races >.<
so I am really afraid that I am gonna have difficulties making friends over there....=(

I got assigned to Stevenson........any Stevensonians here? hit me up! Anyone knows what it is like in there?
Any comments about the dorm food? I chose the 7 days "all you care to eat" plan....and it costs almost like 1000 dollars..goodness
the 5 days "all you care to eat" plan is only slightly cheaper; the 55 meals plan is too few.....
