I would save the kid. ESPECIALLY if I were the only person there.

That's actually happened to me before >_< It was really scary, but I just ended up diving in. The girl was about 3? And she was literally struggling for her life under the water, I couldn't just leave! I held my breath and sank under water while holding her up over my shoulders. We both made it out alright though. She gave me a sticker afterwards hahah. Lifeguard was too busy chatting it up with some girl. I gave him a piece of my mind after that...

I'd probably go find help because I can't swim (I've nearly drowned myself before- 4 times.) I definately wouldn't just stand there. o.O

First, I'd probably stare a bit because I would be panicking and thinking of what to do.
Next, I might jump in myself to save the kid. Maybe.

if i dive in they'll definitely see 2 dead bodies drowning, coz i cant swim

then, ill probably scream my lungs out to call for help while trying to figured out something how to pull the kid out of the pool, find something he can grab on.

I would die trying.
I cannot swim! But I'd sure take a shot at saving him.
Even if in the end, it ends up with both of us needing to be rescued. ¬¬

I would rescue the kid. I'm pretty good at swimming and if I can, why wait? Dive in.

if i'm in a crowded place, i would try to call for help. if i'm alone, i would try to jump and save the kid, but i'm a bad swimmer.. (can only doggy paddle) so we might both ended up epic fail if i tried to rescue him lol

I would rescue the kid of course but maybe not instantly and look around for a rope or something because i heard that a 5 year old kid can became stronger than a man if he's drowning because of his adrenalin or something blink.gif

I will because I can swim. But if the kid is actually a lot bigger than me, I will try to find something to save him/her.
After all, I rather use an equipment to try to save him/her, rather than jumping in and trying to save them, and only have them bring me down, too.

There was one time where I remember I couldn't stay in the water well and the teacher just stood there in the pool in front of me as she watched me struggle.
Not a cool experience at all, and I don't think it will be cool to see someone flip out when somebody is capable of saving them nearby (or to find help).

If it's in a pool, I would jump in and try my best to save the kid but I'm kinda afraid cause I wear glasses and without my prescripted goggles...~~x___x
If it's in a river...I would find something for him to grab since the current is strong and dangerous.

This reminds me of an event that happened at my high school.

A kid was drowning during PE in the pool and no one immediately went in to save him.
Not the teacher, who was instructing the swimming class.
Who did? One of my friends, who dove in and got him out.

But hm. I know how to swim so I think I would. Unless the kid looked heavier than me (I'm only 90 pounds) and I'm pretty weaksauce... so yeah. Depends if I know I can or not. If not, I'll go screaming for help lol. Maybe try and find something I can toss to the kid. Like a teddy bear for comfort.

Jk.
