But with these 'would you save' situations, I can never guarantee anything because it's different when you're actually living it.

It'd be really sad if you just run away and let the kid die. That would bother me.
I'd probably blame myself for the kids death.

If I knew how to swim well, of course I would try to save the kid.
Otherwise, I'd yell for help.

because I can't swim >___<

However, I CAN boss other people around. There's bound to be someone that can swim and spare a couple seconds to call emergency services.
So yes, I'm all talk and no walk, but at least the job gets done. Better than a group of people that just stand around all thinking "someone else will do it"
Indeed, this is probably the only situation where big talk is justified.

My friend came with me to the pool and she was such an idiot, she dove right into the deep side and began to drown. So, I jump in to save her and I'm trying to push her to the side, but SHE KEPT PULLING ON MY ARM. And she kept pulling me down. I didn't wanna drown with her so I let her go and swam to the edge
The lifeguard saved her though XP

I would first try to call for help, but if that doesn't work...I'll just risk my life and try to save the kid.
Maybe then I can get the "Hero of the Year" award.
