I'm a beginner swimmer and still really bad at it so I don't think I would jump in just because I'm still so afraid of the water and the whole issue of drowning myself. I wouldn't jump in but I would hope that the owner of the pool would have some rescue gear somewhere around the pool like one of those long sticks they have at pools or any floatation device. I would try to save the person without having to go in myself. However, if it was family or a friend I probably wouldn't think twice ... which I think is dangerous.

I would try to save the kid because I can swim.
But with these 'would you save' situations, I can never guarantee anything because it's different when you're actually living it.

Yes, I took swimming lessons might as well put it to use.
It'd be really sad if you just run away and let the kid die. That would bother me.

No, I can't swim, thus I will not put my own life in danger. Selfish? lol sure.
However, I CAN boss other people around. There's bound to be someone that can swim and spare a couple seconds to call emergency services.

So yes, I'm all talk and no walk, but at least the job gets done. Better than a group of people that just stand around all thinking "someone else will do it"

Lol I actually did this once.
My friend came with me to the pool and she was such an idiot, she dove right into the deep side and began to drown. So, I jump in to save her and I'm trying to push her to the side, but SHE KEPT PULLING ON MY ARM. And she kept pulling me down. I didn't wanna drown with her so I let her go and swam to the edge
The lifeguard saved her though XP

I would try, but then I would probably drown with the kid...because I can't swim. XD
I would first try to call for help, but if that doesn't work...I'll just risk my life and try to save the kid.

It's a difficult situation because I am not a really good swimmer. I could dive in trying to save the kid, and drown myself... Yet, no trying to save the child and watching him die is really I don't want to see. If no one is around I definitely dive in and save him because I believe in my swimming skills.
