I just got the Viewty in black! I bought it online for $150.

the only way to install themes is to hack them. http://www.mobile9.com/ has a bunch of games, but this guy on youtube has an entire folder of games. just check out the description box on the right =)

Not sure if you're still wondering since this is a bit of an old post, but I got mine at All Phones... and as far as I know, 3 and Virgin have it. I have no idea about Optus or Vodafone since I haven't seen it advertised.

How to turn off the shutter sound:

- Download MobyExplorer
http://www.bermin.net/downloads/ver30/MobyExplorer.jar
- Drag the file into the "Others" folder.
- Install and launch the program on your Viewty.
- Navigate to the default sounds folder (Sounds > Default Sounds)
- Rename the file "shutter3.wav" (change it to anything you want)
- Create a silent .wav file on your computer and name it "shutter3.wav"
- Transfer this file to your Viewty (put it in the Sounds folder)
- Launch MobyExplorer application once again.
- Navigate to the Sounds folder (Card > Sounds)
- Copy the "shutter3.wav" file.
- Paste it into the default sounds folder.
- In your camera settings, choose Shutter 3 as your sound.

If this still doesn't work then you might have to repeat the same process for the "shutter3_EX.wav" file.

My phone is usually on vibrate for work and school and when you turn the camera on, it's silent.

for me, when i'm in the camera i just press one of the options and choose no shutter sound. i guess it's cuz my viewty is a different model that it has that. sorry i couldn't help ^^

I just got the LG Viewty in White today

I'm so happy with it right now. I kinda want to add new themes.. but I don't really know how.. even after reading a few websites that show you how (plus i'm a bit scared too O_o)
I got it for $250 @ pmall... BF yelled at me for not bargaining (I went with my mom.. plus it's a gift from my parents.)

I have an older HTC phone and it has a little more memory than the viewty but I never have to delete texts. I have something like 4000+. It'd be a pain to keep deleting messages.

yeah, i head that too. unless you really know how to hack your phone, i wouldn't recommend it.

rite now i have about 200 messages. i think that that's already a lot. then again my old phone could only hold 100 =S
why's it a pain to delete? i just delete them all at once when it gets full and save certain mssgs.

^ That's because with the LG Viewty, you have to delete the messages one by one ><
It really is a pain lol There is no option that allows you to delete all messages at once...

you can delete all the mssgs at once. you just have to mark all by pressing the red box at the top and then it'll delete them all at once.

mainly because I know some people who own Viewtys and they have pink.
the pink is more of a pale pink. I wish i could have found the hot pink : ( but white is very cool
