I just saw the trailer for this new comedy called Swing Vote- I thought it seems pretty timely with elections coming up in Nov. It comes out Aug. 1st, anyone else heard of it?

I just got back from a matinée showing with a few friends. I thought it was really fun and far less about politics than I had originally thought- more about the main guy Bud and his daughter- who is really talented. These ads where in the movie and they were soo funny.

Hm, when I saw the commercials, I was turned off by the incredulous plot. But judging by your second post, I'm glad that it's not all about politics.

I wanted to see this movie for fun, but I wasn't dying to see it. How would you rate it? It looks kind of like a C average movie to me. Not good, not bad? It looks pretty interesting :P.

I laughed throughout the movie and in general that makes me say it's a good movie. Like it's definitely a family comedy drama. There is the theme of the importance of voting but I thought Bud's role was a lot more about him becoming a more responsible father and how the election influenced that change.
