Hey guys,

I'm with Verizon Wireless and I broke my phone last night;; my contract ends in December so I don't want to spend too much money getting a new phone and extending my contract. I plan to move to AT&T after my contract ends so I just need a phone to use until then. I was looking at phones like the Razr to replace my broken phone;; Does anyone know the retail price? Or anywhere that I can get a phone for cheaper?

you can buy used ones... find them on craigslist

You need to be careful buying used CDMA phones. when buying the phone meet at a local Verizon Wireless store so that the rep can check the ESN number to see if it has been blacklisted or not. If it has been blacklisted you just bought yourself a paper weight.

Yeah i broke my phone too! Same situation.

And i was planning on switching to at&t network after wards too.
My mother says i break phones to easily, so sim cardss.


Well what i did was, i TERMINATED my contract.
It didnt cost that much, basically 50-70 dollars.

Since its getting closer to the end of my contract. I just went and got a phone at at&T
Yessss.

I think it would be better that way, since your going to buy another phone for VZW and they dont use sim, even if its used.
It would sort of be a waste, to me.
You can use that money to buy a iPhone or a Vu, or a Shine!

Yeah, the closer you are to ending your contract, the cheaper it is. So if you just made a new contract and then terminated it after a month, you'd pay $175 - $5 for every month you were in the contract. Assuming that your contract was 2 years, you'd only pay $85 to terminate your contract early.

if you do then they can replace it for you for $50 i think

Or you can just use one of your old verizon phones if you kept them and don't mind using an old phone. It will cost you about $20 to activate it though.

How did you break it? If it was like my friends and his LG Chocolate screen died, they replace it for free bc it was was a factory defect.
