Books By Japanese Authors....

Do anyone know any books that is written by Japanese Authors thats translated to english.......
pref...romance or in the olden days like the geishas....something like that....

Geisha, A Life... thats the only one I know of that fits your description but if you like crime fiction you should read books by Natsuo Kirino. They are really good~

There's one author's name who kept catching my attention in the bookstores i went.

its something with Haruki...i dunno the surname though.i think maybe he/she is a Japanese,looking at the name.

and he/she got quite a big collection of works and im also interested to read her books.dunno what's the genre too..

but there's one book called "Yakuza Moon".a girl who grew up with her Yakuza family and whats her life like...

i wish koizora or one litre of tears was translated into english

Haruki Murakami? Yeah, he writes in Japanese, and most, if not all of his books have been translated into English. Don't think he writes about geishas, though.

To the OP: You might want to try Kawabata Yasunari's Snow Country - it's a love affair between a Tokyo dilettante and a provincial geisha.
