most of the guys i know say they think everyone should know how to cook, guy or girl

but if you are looking to be with a guy whi is higher income earner than you then
yes you should learn to cook because then he can feel you are able to support a family better

but if you are going to be the higher income earner anyway then it doesnt matter cos yoiu can both eat out or he can do the cooking,

How can anyone NOT have any knowledge of basic cooking? It's like one of those basic survival skills I think guys and girls should know.

That's a bit outdated and sexist, ain't it?

It's way awesome if a girl knows how to cook, but I'd still marry her if she was inept at cooking because I know how to cook decently. Plus, you can always learn right?

well you can always learn? Learning starts at any age and if you think you have the capability, go ahead and test the waters.
Mistakes are your friend.

And I think cooking is a great tool for yourself also, not only for marriage.
If you know how to cook and you live independently, your lifestyle will be much healthier and you won't put your money into waste by buying instant food all the time.

If you have your mom around or a friend who can cook, ask them. Or you can also go to cooking classes=]

haha i need to learn how to cook more. I'm learning from my mom some techniques and in the future,
ill want to go to a nice cooking school to learn how to make good food so I can eat happily lol.

But I'm sure there would be a guy who'll love you regardless cause I hear how some guys will work together with their wife to learn cooking.

I agree with imaginAZN, cooking is somewhat of a skill that's needed. Everybody needs to learn. Oh and don't worry, my bf couldn't even cook rice but now he's learning from me. So don't lose hope!

AT ALL?!
then how do you eat everyday? instant noodles?

It is never late to learn how to cook ya' know.

I'm in mid 20's.
I don't know how to cook proper meals until I got married a year ago, I learn how to cook some dishes from scratch from his mom. sweatingbullets.gif
I usually just use instant asian spices. sweatingbullets.gif

I should have listened to my mom. She wanted to teach me, but I was too lazy haha

i don't mind cooking, but i hate the smell that goes to my hair and cloth.

its good to learn how to cook so at least you can prepare something for your kids when you do have them, else they can't be eating can food all the time, it will make them sick and grow up unhealthy.
Only when the last tree had died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught, will we realize that WE CANNOT EAT MONEY.

Of course I would marry a girl who can't cook, but since cooking food is a required skill in the future with family, I would at least like her to try to cook. smile.gif

A girl doesn't cook doesn't mean that she can't cook
and what I concern is, why should a girl MUST know to cook?
I mean both guys and girls should know to cook, how if u can't get a girl friend?
Starve to dealth or go restaurant all the time?

*.* Should I marry to a man that doesn't know to cook and want his wife cook for him every day and night.

So true. I'm not fond of cooking but I do sort of know my way around cooking. Learning and blahblahblah.

I can't cook. Marry me please xD

Well I don't think someone's going to be like " crazy.gif You can't COOK!? CALL OFF THE WEDDING!"
I think most people will take the initiative to learn though. Once you get into college and live independently, you have to learn how to cook so you won't be eating instant noodles every day (:

Haha, maybe I should start now ph34r.gif

it surprises me that some people still don't know how to boil water. i mean, wtf? O_O

anyways, if a girl can't cook she's most likely not going to impress her mother in law (at least the old-fashioned oneS)

If you're that worried, well, BASIC cooking isn't that hard to learn. Just look up some recipes or something, the directions are right there. o_o

I don't really get people who say they can't cook. I mean, cooking really well obviously requires talent, but the basics are just so easy. Anyone can learn.

Seriously, what do you eat if you can't cook...?

of course i would cook if the girl i'm going to marry with doesn't. That way she would have to eat my vegan cooking deluxe set!!! w00t.gif
