How long does it take to sober after say...6-7 shots of vodka? Wait, lemme rephrase that...how long does it take to stop feeling nauseous every time you think about alcohol?

It's been about 20 hours...but I still feel...umm...nauseous. Like...if I even watch someone take a shot of something, I gag and throw up x.x I can't tell if it's a side effect of drinking, or just a mental thing? I want it to go away...since I'm working at a nail salon and the smell of nail polish makes me think of vodka @___@ And I puke >.< Help? =/

Drink lots of water and take a pill or two of Tylenol. You should be ok by next morning.
"But when it ends and while it ends, something comes, after so much rage, persistence, obstinacy, extravagance; something entirely unexpected and touching in its mildness and goodness. With the motif passed through many vicissitudes, which takes leave and so doing becomes itself entirely leave-taking, a parting wave and call, with this D G G occurs a slight change, it experiences a small melodic expansion. After an introductory C, it puts a C sharp before the D. . .and this added C Sharp is the most moving, consolatory, pathetically reconciling thing in the world. It is like having one's hair or cheek stroked, lovingly, understandingly, like a deep and silent farewell look. . . . " (Mann: 55).

^ agreed with drinking LOTS of water. I usually drink a bottle or two of water before I sleep and I'm fine the next morning.

Well alcohol tolerance depends on your body's weight, height, genetics, etc., A lot of factors come into play in determining how fast or slow you get sober after whatever shots you have.

Everyone else already suggested what I do normally. Take Tylenol and drink water to flush it out of your system.

I get really bad hangovers too; they last FOREVER. But I try to sleep it away. Hope that helps.

I'm pretty sure it's just a mental thing. Did you get really wasted and then woke up feeling awful? :\

it's called a HANGOVER. if you drink that much, prepare to suffer the consequences.

is that really necessary? the original poster asked for advice, not for snide remarks.

anyway to ~koe*no*sainou~, like the other people above suggested, drink lots of water to flush your system and other liquid substances to help the nausea(for me, coffee helps a lot because of it's strong taste which overtakes any remaining alcohol traces i taste/smell)

I heard you should drink a lot of water and yeah haha. Just be careful. Some stuff can mess you up.

And just a quick question if anyone could answer... don't really want to start a whole new thread on it, but can you get nosebleeds from drinking too much?

^ And not to mention the original poster is obviously underage.... ahem.

But anyway. If you drink a lot, you will get drunk, and there is a big possibility of getting a hangover. If you drink a lot of alcohol without drinking water, you'll get dehydrated. If you want to avoid a hangover, drink lots of liquids and drink on a full stomach. Take a vitamin pill before you go to sleep. And drink a lot of water and maybe vitamin c supplements when you wake up in the morning (like Emergen-C).

How fast you "sober up" depends on your weight and your body fat and just how fast your body processes the alcohol in your body.

well its been 20 hrs. its probably out of your system
what your feeling is called being "hung over".
a lot of people have temporary (sometimes permanent) aversion to a type of alcohol after they've gotten sick from it

sleep is the fastest way to sober up.
drink as much water as you can and get some rest.
as for the nausea you get from thinkin of alcohol, that's all in your head.
don't worry. you get used to it tongue.gif

If you think you can lie down properly, have a nice sleep. Usually a nice long rest gets rid of the alcohol, but then comes the hangover...hehe
