so i've been thinking about buying a multi-region dvd player since i buy dvds that aren't region 1 and i'm getting tired of only being able to only watch it on the computer. however, i don't really know where to look. i alsoi want the dvd player to be able to play dvds that have the divx codec since i have some dvds that have that. so it'll be nice to have a dvd player that can play it also. i looked on yesasia and there are a few that i might like, but i'm not really sure if i want to buy one from there. anyone has any suggestions on which ones are good and which ones are not? if anyone can be of help, thanks! i'll greatly appreciate it.

First check if you can unlock the region limitation in your current dvd player. Usually you can punch a code in on the remote that you can find on the web and get around the region problem.

phillips make some cheap region free divx players 30-50 bucks
oppo also but cost well over 100 bucks
