Yeah, touch screen designs seem to be "in" this year. Everyone is offering it. I hope Sprint offers different colors, then I'd definitely be interested.

It's not the haptic. Its just a touchscreen phone from samsung. It doesnt even look like the haptic lol.

watched a youtube review for it, its pretty bad.

the picture gallery takes like 5 minutes to load once there are a lot of pictures on your phone.
then once its done loading it has to spend time rendering each thumbnail which is another 10 minutes.

^youtube review? Is that even reliable? Most of the reviews on the phone is actually very good, hence the reason why it won many awards--see first post.

It's more a prada-like device. Admittedly the hype around the Iphone helped spread the popularity of the touch screen, but it would have come to the US anyway after LG introduced the prada phone to the US, which would have eventually happened; and Samsung phones tend to look very similar to LG for some reason.

^Yeah haptic is a vibrating response, which is supposed to change according to your moods. This is part of an article from wiki about how haptic is used in technology, if it makes any sense LOL:

QUOTE
Haptic technology refers to technology which interfaces the user via the sense of touch by applying forces, vibrations and/or motions to the user. This mechanical stimulation may be used to assist in the creation of virtual objects (objects existing only in a computer simulation), for control of such virtual objects, and to enhance the remote control of machines and devices (teleoperators). This emerging technology promises to have wide reaching applications. In some fields, it already has. For example, haptic technology has made it possible to investigate in detail how the human sense of touch works, by allowing the creation of carefully-controlled haptic virtual objects. These objects are used to systematically probe human haptic capabilities. This is very difficult to achieve otherwise. These new research tools contribute to our understanding of how touch and its underlying brain functions work (See References below).

Does anyone know if this phone has one of those holes for cell phone chains?
I know some Samsung and LG phones do not have the holes, even when those cell phone chains are famous in Korea...

Untrue, my mother works for sprint and got me one for my birthday. I'm using it right now (not to type this but still surfing the web and configuring things to how I want it) and it's really good. I haven't had any problems with it yet and the connection is not slow at all.

I have about 12 photos in the phone and they only took what, like 5 seconds to load? And when I open them the rendering takes like, literally another 5 seconds.

Whoever posted that youtube video obviously must be biased or some mini cooper because none of it is true, apparently.

Yes it does. It's on the top left or bottom left, however you hold it. It'll fit most chains.

Just because it doesn't look like the original haptic, doesn't mean it isn't. Sprint could've changed the outside features to their liking. It happened with the Shine at ATT and with other phones. It's not anything new.

There's a difference between having the same model but branded differently and having a completely different phone -.-

The Anycall Haptic (SPH-W4200) has silver buttons in the front, while the Instinct has a touchpad. The LG Shine looks almost identical (but different colors with AT&T) to the Korean models -- the specifications of the phone is a different story though of course.

Does anyone own the phone at the moment? What do you think of it? I'm thinking of going for the instinct but I'm really unsure. >.< The Tocco looks so good but it's not released in Canada as far as I know. I fully agree with a couple posts above as to the youtube reviews, I've seen them and...intimidating they are. Some reviews from you guys?

If I had sprint I would get the tocco and not the instinct.
My friend's ex bf had it.
it seems impressive, but there are a lot of bugs in it. and its not very customizable which bothers me.

People....there is a difference between the Anycall Haptic and haptic feedback.

Now, the Anycall does have haptic feedback...introduced by Samsung(maker of all anycall phones). they called their first anycall model featuring this feedback..... the Haptic.

haptic feedback is that funky little vibration you feel when you tap things.

having the Haptic phone and a phone with haptic feedback is not the same. THIS phone has haptic feedback but it is not the Haptic phone. Why isn't it? because it's not the name of the damn phone.
