For some majors, often times it takes more than 4 years to complete, such as engineering. And if you had a 4 year scholarship or a yearly scholarship, what happens on the 5th year? Any other options?

My major is Architecture and it takes 5 years to complete. My school has this Presidential Scholarship where they give you aid for the time you remain in school (in the undergrad department). I live in NY and there is also a TAP program, but every time I apply, it is written as an award for a 4 year school instead of a 5 year school. I am not sure what to do but I'm sure that they, as in the government or the people who gives the awards, will understand.
