i never do it
becaus eif you think about it, these poor talented musicians will never have a family or kids because we don't help support them financially. which means over thegenerations music wil get worse and worse until there is no more art left.
they will suffer hunger pangs and ill health and pain.
then the devil will come to claim your soul.
no! so.. never pirate. don't pay too much but i think you should pay some.

is that music played by people on the streets or at random places like skytrain stations where they have a case that you could put money into?

It's bad. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't do it anyway.

If i didn't, i probably wouldn't have spent so much money on artists I wouldn't have discovered eitherwise.

so it's a tad bit hard to find.
I attend their concerts instead, though.
I occasionally buy their cds if I run into any.
Since I can't order online.

But if I like an artist or group's songs, I'll go out and buy the album too.
Like, I'm not gonna buy an album full of songs I'm not gonna like.

I buy CDs if I really think the CD is worth it... especially if they are an amazing artist who is not yet famous.

Um. If I really like the artist/album I buy the CD. But seeing how I'm a broke, lazy slacker, that'll have to wait. Therefore...urm yeah.

Nowadays, I buy CDs whenever I get the chance to. Of course, I don't blindly buy CDs either. I actually stream music off of imeem to see if I like the album. If I only liked one song, then I wouldn't buy the CD just for that one song. I don't download it either. Lol. I'm fine with listening to the song off the radio/imeem/youtube.
And I would feel really terrible if I downloaded music from my favorite artists because they're fairly "indie" and probably not doing so well already. ) :
Anyway, music is more of a luxury than a necessity. Don't do the hobby if you don't have the money. P : There are other ways to be entertained too.
