anyways, i just started my diet 3 days ago and its been going really well & im determined to make it stick thruout the summer.
BUTTT, i just found out my cousin's daughter's one month banquet is this friday..and you know..banquets= lots and lots of unhealthy food.
what to do?!
i need to go..but wont it be kind of akward/disrespectful just to sit there and watch people eat..and not eat urself? and i dont want to be tempted by the food too..

It's okay to indulge a tiny bit to avoid binging on the unhealthy stuff.
What I usually do at like buffets and banquets and stuff is start off with a salad. I get anything that isn't iceberg lettuce like romaine lettuce or spinach with some hardboiled egg (if they have it), chickpeas, sunflower seeds or almonds instead of crutons with balsamic vinegarette and go easy on the dressing.
Just choose wisely. I usually check for steamed in the name and such. It's okay if you mess up a little bit. A diet is not ruined from one bad meal. Just get back on track with the next meal.

Yeah, I'd HATE to go eat with someone, and only have the watch ME eat. It's kind of ehhhh
One banquet isn't going to throw you off the wagon sweetie. Have things in MODERATION, a banquet is no excuse to pig out. Self-control.
Just have a couple bites of all the 'good' stuff, but focus more on vegetables, and you should be okay.
Eat slowly and limit your alcoholic drinks.
G'luck! It's not the end of the world. Don't starve yourself all day before going into the banquet. Maybe even have something before hand. If you do go in hungry, you'll eat everything in sight and no matter how much you eat, you can never be full. I learned that the hard way.

I understand. when i waa on a diet i hated going to family parties cuz u have to eat something.
honestly if u just pig out one day it will be ok.
Go ahead and eat but dont stuff ur face til u puke. just eat when u are full dont over eat.
then when u get home go to the gym to work out and go back to ur diet the next day.
as long as u dont pig out everyday i think u will be ok.
