I'm attending pcc fall semester..and i need to transfer. Most of my friends tell me that there is wayyy to much competition, but i dont get "competition". So my question is If i maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher will i get into the honorsprog/transfer out in 2years?
I'm not sure how it works because i'm getting alot of different answers.
someone please explain :]
i've heard many things so please share

i wouldn't say theres too much competition, theres competition everywhere...if you don't get competition, i'm assuming they mean the students there who strive for amazing grades and all apply to UCLA to get accepted kind of competition? but i think many pcc students here have various ambitions so yeah
but i think PCC is nicer, than my other community college choice
so they have better teachers and more choices..etc etc
it's what you make of it
just choose good professors, that are good at teaching, interesting with okay-easy tests and you'll do fine
been here for almost a year now, and i have a 3.2 gpa..not that bad, though i could use more units (which is what i'll be hauling ass for in the fall)
as for transferring within 2 years, it'll be how you schedule your 2 years, so you can see if you get IGETC certified, i'm not sure about the honors program, you'll probably have to see if anyone in the transfer center can help you on that. but if you don't get accepted within 2 years you can always stay another year to fill pre-req's for your major, to be more guaranteed of transferring

and uh
-always register for class EARLY, classes always fill up FAST
-don't buy your book from the bookstore unless you really need to, it's sucha ripoff
if i don't make any sense feel free to ask the cc student thread or ask me
i should get back to doing my homework :X
-can't believe i typed all this and you made the topic like 3 weeks ago hahaha --
