i just got my SGH - U700 and i dropped it in the water...
i heard i had to dry it off so i waited a couple of days and to turn it back on and like it was fine until i tried going to the menu...and the menu button wouldn't work...i touched everything on the touch pad and it doesn't seem to work at all...
is there anyway i can get the touch pad to work again? anywhere i can go or send to repair my phone?

Nice phone.. the fact that you got it to turn on is a good sign.
Take out the battery.. and open everything you can and just put it in a dry place. Some people say put it in a container with uncooked rice but I have not tried it.
The buttons still have water under them and you just need it to slowly dry out on its own

I've dropped my motorola in water.
Just blow dried it immediately and it worked.

If you're good at taking things apart you can try to clean/dry it out internally
