Do you guys know if i can use cake mix instead of the recipe but cook it in the rice cooker instead of the oven?
if so, would i just have to follow the instructions on the box for the heating time and stuff? i was thinking of using those Pillsbury's Cake Mixes

yah!
my whole family has no idea how to work the oven (in fact once when my mom was cleaning she pressed a button by accident and the kitchen started smoking up O_O)
so this is so helpful! I can't wait to bake ^^

Is it possible to bake stuff using the old-school rice cookers?
You know the ones with only 2 settings, "Cook" and "Keep Warm" . . . or do you need the modern ones with the microchips?

i've done a lot of cooking in my rice cooker... i've heated frozen pizza, cooked ramen, cooken entire meals, reheated leftovers. rice cookers are great. almost like regular hot plates. so it doesn't surprise me hearing someone's tried baking bread in them. i don't eat much bread, so i'll skip this. but it looks great.
