I had a very difficult time pressing a reset nodule on my Iriver Mp3 player, so I used a needle to do it. In the process of pressing the needle on the nodule, I placed too much pressure and the needle went completely through internally, and I think damaged it because it stopped working after that. Is the MP3 player fixable, or not? What should I do? Thx

sounds like it's toast. im not sure what you broke, but small electronics like that, you're definitely better off getting a new one. getting it fixed would cost too much, and mp3 players get outdated fast anyway, so..
time for a new one.

o_O wow thats... really something
the reset switch might be permanently pushed... and thats why it wont turn on. Its like you're holding it. Im not sure if you can find someone who can do surface mount work but you will probably need to find someone who can take it apart and replace the switch. You can try a TV repair shop to see if they can do it for you.
Not sure if you can send it in for warranty but its worth calling and asking about.

if you still have warranty then try it out. say that it won't turn on or something like that. lol
but then don't bother calling them. i had two irivers before and let me tell you, the customer service was practically non-existant. i put it on speaker and stepped out of the room to surf the web. i came back into the room an hour later and i was still on hold.
if you email them, expect the email 3 weeks later asking you "what is wrong with it?" (thats it) when you clearly told them in the first email.
but i got a new mp3. about 2 months later.

No warranty. It was a gifft from my aunt purchased in Korea.
I believe the iRiver warrantly may work worldwide. It may depend on the mood of the customer service.
The new iriver lplayer is cheap but good. Why don't pick a new one for replacement.
