Can Anyone Recommend A Cheap Mp3 Player? to tide me over until the new ipod arrives

So my old ipod photo from a bazillion years ago finally died on me yesterday
On the flipside, that means now I'm on the market for a new mp3 player. I've been searching online for information on new ipods, and it seems the next generation itouch might arrive sometime later this year, so I don't want to jump the gun and buy an itouch now only to have the next version surface just two months later. Until then, does anyone have suggestions for a relatively cheap but good mp3 player (<$100 preferably) that can hold a decent amount of songs (500+) and is generally well recommended. I'm looking for a fairly simple mp3 player - it doesn't need to be loaded with features - although I'd prefer a screen so I can read the artist and song names, and it would be nice if it was somewhat stylish. Previously, I also owned a mobiblu cube, which was quite adorable and functional for the first month, after which time the screen blacked out on me, and I couldn't get any response from their customer service. Would anyone recommend the newer ones? Thanks in advance!

Aw if your iPod photo died then mine must be on the way to the grave too
Some ones that come into my mind:
Sandisk Sansa Clip (1gb $40, 2gb $60)
Samsung products, whole bunch of them are on sale on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1215837820/ref...36%2Cn%3A172630
Creative zen (2gb$108 $80) andyroxs: you're right, I must've read the wrong item price ^^;
