Digital Camera which one?

I've heard people saying canon and nikon are the best ones. Can anyone help me deciding which one I should buy? All I need is :
- best in low light (I like taking pics at night)
- Red-Eye Correction
- Vibration reduction

I'm thinking between
CANON IXUS 80 IS

- 8 megapixel

NIKON S700

- 12 megapixel

because their prices are similar.

or any other recommendation??? as long as it is canon or nikon. ^^

Canon! I don't know about Nikon's iso's settings but the Canon goes up to 1600

pretty good for the night. Hrmm I went through more Canon than Nikon, but that's just my prefrence.

I'm a Canon girl all the way. I got a Canon IXUS850 atm~~ quite good in low light if you get the settings right.

The best point and shoot camera for low light is actually the Fujifilm F100FD (or F31FD, F40FD, F50FD).

Even if Canon's cameras' ISO goes up to 1600, I've found it pretty much unusable -- SO MUCH NOISE +_+
