My left eye was stinging/tiring me today today.. and I lifted up my eyelid and saw a tiny bump thing, a little under my eyelashes. What is that and what should I do about it ><? I told my mom and she told me to just pop it.. I'm a little reluctant though because I imagined having a mini crater in my eyelid.

you probably have a sty, if you do feel comofrtable enough you could pop it
just don't poke your eye too much

Not really, it just kinda looks like a tiny part of my eyelid .. popped up. Not white or anything.
A sty? Maybe.. but what causes that? Thanks to those who replied by the way =)

Does it hurt? If so, it's probably a sty. You should put some warm water on a towel and press it gently for about 10 minutes every night? And don't use makeup or contacts for a while...
If it doesn't hurt, I don't know, but it should be okay? I got one a million years ago when I was a kid, except it's on my eyelid, and it's pretty tiny, so I don't really try to remove it... But yours sounds a little more troublesome.

I really, really wouldn't suggest popping it b/c it's so close to your eye! As a matter of fact, PLEASE don't!

I have one on my waterline, and didn't know what it was. It's this tiny, red lump. I finally went to the doctor about it and I still don't know if it's got a name or if it's a sty or whatever, but she referred me to another doctor so I could get it lasered off. On the referral, she referred to it as a "soft tissue lump." She said it could stay the same size, or get bigger and it was my decision if I wanted it lasered off or not. She didn't seem worried, and it didn't seem like a big deal at all, so rest easy! But mind you, we might not even have the same thing. Either way, consult your doctor!

its most likely a stye. put a warm towel on your eye to draw it out and hope it'll heal soon.
you could always go to an eye doctor to get drops to help the pain and what not

a stye is caused by bacteria getting into your eye
the bacteria is commonly found in your nose.
so basically rubbing your nose then rubbing your eyes

use a warm towel on that bump then try scratch it a little bit with your clean fingernail...I sometimes have it 2....

I wouldn't pop it if I were you. I suggest keeping it clean and adding a hot/cold compress (I can't figure which would be better).

My mom had a stye before on her one of her upper eyelashes and my dad convinced her to pop it...So he did. She's missing eyelashes in that area now and there's a tiny gap...Needless to say my mom got really mad at my dad, lol. But yeah, I never popped either but I might have scratched it without paying attention...I have a tiny gap on one of my lower lashes too.

Just don't make it more irritated!

It sounds like a stye.
Whatever you do, don't try to pierce it or anything 'cause it might cause an infection to spread.
Just put a warm towel over it and put a very small amount of pressure on it.
Let the stye drain itself and it'll be gone in a couple of days.
I've noticed that styes usually occur when you're super stressed out or have a lack of sleep. I had 6 one time, 3 in each eye. =x

Ooo I had that before!
I went to my doctor and he popped it for me.
He took a mini knife looking thing and took it off.
I was SO scared when I saw that knife but turned out it didnt hurt AT ALL.
It only took like a second to take that bump off.

It sounds like what I have. Mines right under my top lid. Last year when I asked my optometrist what it was he said it was a something*I forgot, it was a year ago * He said I could just leave it or have surgery and remove it. I just left it but I would advise you to go to the doctor just because I'm not one^^.

I would just leave it alone, and usually it'll be gone in 1 or 2 days. Though sometimes I accidently forget it's there and I'm playing with my eyelid and it pops. But only rarely.
