I was wondering if there were any other people here who might be interested in Hardcore or Post-Hardcore. I noticed that most of the postings were Asian music and mainstream music. None of my friends are a fan of it either, some of them think I'm strange because I like Hardcore and Post-Hardcore. So, sticking to the topic, I was wondering if anyone knows of Refused. They're a band from Sweden and pretty old and currently disbanded. It's hard to have a favorite from them. That would have to be a close call between "New Noise" and "Liberation Frequency".

I love Refused and T(i)NC, even though they are nothing alike.
Dennis Lyxzén = sexy voice

edit: I just noticed what my signature was, it's a coincidence. I'm not a dork.

new noise was the first song i heard from these guys.
for some reason i'm starting to dabble a bit in hardcore/heavy alternative tunes.. probably because i've been listening to Karnivool (great Aussie alt. band).
Anyway, i first saw their video for 'new noise' on a late night music video show and was immediately taken by their rapid change in rhythm...
okay, call me a noob or whatever in hardcore music but i've got so much music i'm discovering its hard to keep up. its one day hardcore, next day some indie folk...

And i also didn't realise they were no more until i went and googled them. HAH.

I absolutely loooove New Noise, it was the most awesome song to rock out on during the summer of '06 in my circle of friends.

I also really digged their final letter to the public or something, "Refused Are Fcking Dead" was the title, I believe? They said that they "wouldn't give interviews to stupid reporters" so no use chasing after them or something like that? Hahaha, it was awesome.

Wheres VersusVillain when you need her.

I haven't listened to any of their stuff in a while, but I dug them. There was this one song of theirs that was my favorite but I forget what it was called. :/
There was nothing to fear,

Circle Pit?

Anyways, Refused is one of my favorite bands. It's hard to pick favorites, but some of them include: New Noise, Liberation Frequency, The Deadly Rythm, Protest Song '68, The Apollo Programme Was a Hoax, Refused Are Fcking Dead, Coup d'etat, Return to the Closet, Poetry Written in Gasoline, Jag Ater Inte Mina Vanner, Lick it Clean, Rather Be Dead, Circle Pit, and Hook, Line and Sinker.

I think that's, like, half of their songs, but yeah.

Also, has anyone seen their DVD, Refused Are Fcking Dead? It's a thirty minute documentary by one of the band's members. The story around what was to be their last show was quite interesting.

Alone; in five minutes I'll be safe at home...
