OK so I basically packed my Sophmore schedule with:
Ap Euro
Honors: Algebra 2, Chem, English 2
Chinese 2 <-- I'm really bad at Chinese so this would be a really hard class for me @_@
Choir <-Regretted not taking it last year and want to experience it
Tennis <-I heard practice ends around 6:30pm; heard the season is mianly lasts for two months
If I take all of these classes, I would have 7 periods, have to wake up super early and leave door by like before 6 30 to make it in time for 0 period.
I would have AP Euro in the morning and the teacher is really hard and strict ;_;
I'm having a difficult time deciding if I should take any sports this year. I don't know if I should go join tennis..
and also join track for the second part of the school year.
I want to look well rounded, but I don't want to fail my other classes!
If I drop the sport and fill it with other activities[clubs/learning new stuff/volunteering--this stuff I guess I can do on the weekends] is that just as good?
I'm really undecisive, and the counselor people said I had to decide ASAP because I was supposed to have finalized what I wanted months ago..
So.. errmm..any advice? Thank you for any help!!!

hrm, if you feel like you're kinda overwhelmed with your schedule,
but, i wouldn't be sure.. cause i loved my chem honors
and both my chem and english2 honors were a snap XD lol
but since you're mostly deciding on extra curriculars, i'll help you there!
in my opinion, i'll say maybe not join tennis this year and join track instead?
so that you can adjust, and know what you can and can't handle in the beginning of the year
so.. you aren't screwed later on lol
but, didju join sports last year?
cause if you did, then you can choose what sport you like more and stick with that!
you can ALSO just join one sport, and/or join a club at school
a volunteer club is always good, or key club, or NHS; but any clubs are fine
gluck to you!

Do what you want and can handle because you WANT to, not to impress admission officers.
If you want to do those two sports, then do it.
But if you want to drop one sport and fill it up with clubs/volunteer work/etc. JUST to have it look good on the resume, don't do it.
You shouldn't do things just because you feel that they will be impressed. Impressive or not, any admission officers can tell if you're trying to impress them.
So I say if you want to try both sports, then try it. No one's stopping you. Don't join clubs or do volunteer work unless you have an interest in some of them.

If you want to do it, I think you can handle that schedule.
But if you feel too overwhelmed, I'd drop Euro AP and save it for Junior or Senior year. Or not take it at all. I took it my senior year, and didn't like it it. But that was me and it depends on the teacher. I had a lot of reading though. The only good things I got out of Euro were that I passed the AP test and it fulfills one of my core requirements for college...
If you like European history in general though, I'd take it just to give yourself a challenge. There's a lot of memorizing, reading, people to remember...
Tennis sounds kind of tiring, but it would be good to get into a sport at this time.

Hmmm ... I think you'll be able to pull off both.
Is tennis fall season, winder season, or a spring season sport in your state?
I'm guessing it's a fall or winter, since track is usually a spring seasons sport.
So, usually, classes aren't that rigorous in the fall times, in my opinion. It's towards the finals and AP test times where the classes get crazy as hell. hahaha

Actually, I find that classes are pretty tough at the beginning of the year, especially honors/AP courses.
For me, the classes are difficult at first and take awhile to acclimate to.
But.. I still play tennis, which is a fall sport, and I'm fine. Depends on the person though.
I liked AP Euro too. It was an interesting, mind-stimulating class for me. Also, I felt it prepared me well for AP US History in junior year
But, it's still your life and your schedule. Do whatever you feel won't stress you out toooo much, cause there's gonna be alot more stress heading your way junior year (:
Good luck!
