It's also cool when Arabic is mixed with other languages and styles of music, like in Cheb Mami's collabs where he sings in Arabic and other artists sing or rap in French.

I love Arabic music. You can listen to my favorite playlist of mostly Arabic songs on Imeem...there might be a song by Persian singer Arash and a Punjabi song on there, but that's about it
Arabic music and Indian music to me sounds completely different -- the instruments are different as are the vocal styles. Not to mention the LANGUAGES too...I occasionally find an Bollywood song that appeals to me, but that's not frequently...I much prefer Arabic music! It's very elegant and soothing to me...and all of the singers are absolutely STUNNING! but...you can't really have bhangras with Arabic music now can you xD
Favorites are Haifa Wahbe, Nancy Ajram, ZeeZee, Amani Souissi, Carole Samaha and Elissa.

You must understand, first, the nature of Arabic music. There's not much of an alternative rock scene (or rock music in general!) because of the low population that would actually appreciate and enjoy that type of music. So...mostly it's Arabic pop music (which is nothing like American pop music, it's far more elegant and less skanky).
On another note, the popular singer Nancy Ajram has her latest single which contains guitar riffs, which is unusual IMO for Arabic music.
You may watch the video for "Betfakr fi eh" here ~

Why can't you be . . . the part of me that's missing?
Instead of leaving me for some other.
Say we're perfect for each other . . .

Interesting, so it's underground similar to korean rock.
I listened to some of the artists you listed, very upbeat, and the vocals are very acrobatic- impressive!
