The subject material I could tolerate the most in school was Math so I chose Engineering. I didn't love it at first but it grew on me. Just got a job where I design/develop cutting edge internet hardware years before its released to the market. I didn't love it at first but, you guessed it, it's growing on me. I was one of the 5 new hires with a Bachelor's and 100 other new hires had their Master's so, yes, college opens up more opportunities but your competition will be
fierce. Take advantage of your college experience to make yourself competitive and don't do it just because mom and dad said it was good for you.
Just graduated from engineering... and am still job hunting.
going to be an engineer

If I had more time between graduating and starting work, I would have traveled for the heck of it and paid it off after I got a job. That's my personal suggestion.

What kind of engineer are you, btw?
In September I'll start my first year of master (4th year after my baccalaureat) - major in mechanics engineering (yes I'm a girl) .. Wish when I'll be graduated I can find a job of engineer car industry...

GJ on going for the Master's. There were like 2 girls to every 30 guys in my engineering university. Sucked for me, good for the girls I guess. I used to do paint engineering at a Toyota/GM plant. Some of my friends still work there and a cool perk they get is testing vehicles to take home for weeks with gas paid by the company. I think Europe or Japan would have the best places to work because that's where innovative developments likely originate. Boo USDM.
