so you know how you can only put mp4's into the itouch? well i dont want to make all my videos mp4.. i liek them avi.... is there any way i can "trick" itunes so i can like convert video's to mp4, put them into my itouch.... delete the files.. and when i synce more videos... the videos dont get deleted?

my computer has very little hard drive space..... and i dont want to have a video just for my itouch...

same for pictures.. why does the ipod have to make the backup file?

and can i change the wallpaper on the home screen? i changed my wallpaper but i want to change my home screen.. anyway?

No you cant... closest you can come is to find one of those services to upload the files to and have it convert for you. Saying you can "trick" itunes is like saying I will trick my car into running on water.

If you set your ipod to manually manage the music instead of automatically syncing then you don't need a extra copy on your computer and it will all be on the touch. (You can't copy the files out of the touch though so you won't have a backup)

But for pictures, you will have to sync it.

Only way to change the wallpaper on the home screen is to jailbreak it. However on the newest firmware 1.1.4 or 2.0 many of the old programs and easy methods to change the wallpaper just don't work on it.

ahh i see so this is what your talkign about right?

upload a video... sync it to my iphone... (manually).. delete the file and just manually sync other videos?
