Yes, it's bad. It'll make your hair dry and over-processed, but there are a lot of moisturizing products that can withstand it. Try a good protein shampoo and conditioner and a shine serum to keep your hair looking healthy.

did you bleach your whole head or just like highlights.

your would look dead if it was like whole.
it's certainly not bad if you do it once a year or so, just not every month. just control your hair.
use one of those dove or pantene shampoo and conditioner to protect it from damage.

^wow, you think bleached hair is soft? I hate the feeling of bleached hair. And yes, its very bad for your hair if you keep bleaching it. You're basically stripping away the pigments of your hair....

Of course it's bad for your hair.

The process of bleaching your hair means it strips down the hair strand. Asians have the thickest hair strands - that's why it takes longer to bleach it. To get it to be blonde, the hair strand becomes very very thin and extremely prone to breakage. The hair dies.

Therefore, bleach = very bad for hair

a friend of mine only got STREAKS and everyday when she combed her hair a bunch of hair would fall out and wouldn't stop..
so shes balder than me now mellow.gif

if you dont notice any strands dropping it should be fine for now, but if you do.. i suggest you stop.. having hair is always better than none... >_>

I also bleached my hair currently. My hair is liiight brown now.
Although my hair is still silky and not dry, I know it IS damged :x

If you want to stay blonde, don't bleach your whole hair again as soon your roots grow out.
Just bleach the roots.
Ahora vamos por todo
y todos vamos por ellos

I've done research over bleached hair before and all I can remember is that they can actually like melt ur hair and takes away these cuticles from your hair or something like that. lol
And it's best if you don't keep the bleach in contact with your scalp or else it would burn and cause irritation just like how you said it. Probably like 1-1/2 an inch away or so?

But I heard that if you use a lot of conditioner, it helps your bleached hair ohmy.gif

........ lol hair is dead. google it.

anyway i know someone who constantly bleached her hair and then it started falling out. as long as you don't bleach it for a long long period of time it should be okay.

Yeah, I was about to say, I thought hair was dead.. lol.. At least that's what I learned in my physiology class ohmy.gif Something about dead cells coming out..? LOL, I don't quite remember =/ Anyways, my sister has bleached her hair for YEARS. I don't know why since I personally think she looks better as a brunette. But as the years progressed, her hair has gotten really dry and nappy. When she wakes up, her hair feels nappy, and it's probably hard for her to comb through it. I wouldn't recommend doing it for a long period of time, just maybe root touch-ups =] I recently went to the salon to get my hair to be light brown ( I didn't know that they were going to bleach the whole thing >=o ! ) It realllyyyyyyyyyyyy burned crazy, it felt like my head was on fire.. literally ;_; I usually dye my hair myself, but I wanted to see the difference between getting it dyed at a salon versus getting it dyed at home. Anyways, if you bleach your hair, I would only recommend highlights. But please say something to the stylist if you feel that they are leaving it on for too long or it is burning. My sister got highlights once and after that, they left it for too long, so when she combed through it, all of her highlighted hair fell off. Well she got a full refund so xD

It's common sense that bleaching your hair is bad. mellow.gif

Your hair isn't exactly dead. Even though it grows from the roots, it has proteins and all these other nutrients in it. That's why if you bleach your hair, you're basically stripping off of all those nutrients, and therefore, they'll "die".
