Haha. This is a cute topic. When someone I know calls me, I usually say "Whaddup?" When someone I'm not that close with or someone I don't know calls me, I obviously just say "Hello." In person, when I greet my friends, I'd be like "Heeeey!" *hug* When it's someone I don't know, I'll usually say something like "Hai, I'm Mia!" LOL Man, this is awkward.

I use body language a lot. sometimes I nod, other times I bow.
and of course my boring "hiiiii...."

Smile, wave with both hands, and say, "Hiiiiii~~!"
Then run up to them and hug them, if I know them well hehe.

When I'm being approached, I smile and wave. When I'm the one approaching them, I'm like "Aye [name here]!"

I'm actually envious of East Asian languages where they have a formal type of greeting then the informal.

it depends on the people around me.
if its just friends i'll say "yo! supp"

but if its with those older than me, i`ll say hello

i'll go with 'Yo!' when I'm with someone comfortable.
with everybody else I'll just go 'Hey.'

It's usually "hey" or "hihi!", but on occasion I say "yo! or oy!" to get someone's attention.

Usually just a 'hi' if the person's up close.

If there's a kind of distance, it's the wave/peace sign [ o_o ]

I have a couple of friends who greet me with a hi & a hug.

I greet with the usual "hi" or "hey" and wave with a few fingers depending on how much I feel like putting up. Most of the time it's just a little head nod.

i formally greet the parents of my friends and boyfriend. but if ever i see my friends or cousins randomly, i just say "hey" or "hi"..even a smile, wave, and nod of the head would do.

I smile and say hi :]
Maybe a nod or a wave, depends on if I feeling like throwing one in at the moment. x)

I usually just say "Hello" for an older person or someone I do not know that well and "Hey" with my friends.
