Most people it's, "Hii~ *waves and smile*"
Close friends, "OH MY GODDD! *name* HIIII~~ HOW ARE YOU! *frantic and exaggerated waving of hands and arms.*" <- When I'm feeling happy. If I'm not happy, "Oh. Hi."

Teachers or whatever, "Hey, sir/miss. How was your day?"
Elders, "*bow and smile* Er, hi?"
Strangers, "Mm ... hey ... . _ ."

for my friends and people around my age...i mostly say 'hey' or 'hi' and smile. sometimes 'hello'..you can do so many variations on 'hello' haha.
every now and then i'll say something like 'ey' when i get bored and feel like speaking fake gangster lol
and when i answer my phone, if its someone older or that im not very close to i just say the normal 'hello?' but if its a friend or someone close i normally just say 'yeah?' since i dont get many phone calls and most ppl dont call me to just talk lol.
sometimes, with friends, ill say their name in an excited tone and then talk normally again...i do this alot to them on internet

well at work, i'm mostly bright and cheery mood.
i try not to look dead, cause that will make me look hypocrite.
cause i dislike employees that when they work, they look like they're dead or zombies.
even though they are mean/rude people, i tend to be patient and greet them like
"hi, what can i get for you?" "are you ready 'sir or ma'am'" i even do that to my age person too.
so yeah formal conversation when i'm working.

but outside world, i really don't know o__O?

I just realised I don't really greet my friends. We just get together and talk? LOL, but I'll greet others with a 'hi'.

I never use "Hello" unless it's "Hello?" while answering the phone. I suppose that is considered 'greeting'?

Hi and Hey is what I usually say. "Hey" to friends mostly.

"안녕하세요" to adults that are korean. "안녕" also hello, just not to adults. =]

I greet my friend by saying "Bonjour" or "Salut" with what we call here in France "la bise" (you know what in us movies people working in fashion
or gays used to do lol)
but I greet my olders with the khmer traditional greeting.

I usually (about 99%) say 'Hey' or 'Hi'. Other times, I say 'Hey' and wave my hand biggrin.gif. I say 'Hello' when I feel like being formal and 'Hey' with my friends.
