Big Thighs How can I get rid of them?

So it's really weird, my whole body is really small & petite except I have thick thighs. I exerise (running or jogging)
everyday, but it doesn't work. My mom has thick thighs too, but it just looks so HORRIBLE, I want to be able to
wear skirts & just have skinny legs ...

I guess that's a family gene or something? But many people I personally know have thick thighs and tried their hardest to get skinnier thighs. =\

normally most women store all their fats in their thighs and hip area.

it's the running/jogging.

i know everyone says "running doesn't make your legs thick..look at all the long distance runners, professional runners etc etc"

but every body is different and it depends on genetics too. mine is like yours..thick thighs and it runs in the family where most of the females on my mom's side have thick thighs. so in the past...i ran a lot too but with our body types it is so so EASY for our lower body to bulk up while i stayed petite everywhere else.

so now i never jog/run...i just walk. i know i won't ever have crazy thin legs because of my body type, but now instead of bulky thighs i have toned legs. i look more proportional and i'm happy with it.

There's been way too many threads about how to get rid of big thighs. Please try and look for the threads before you make another one about the same thing.

I'm not sure if yoga/pilates would work, but you can try doing those.

hmmm weird but hula hoop worked for me. lost inches of my thighs and hips.

proper nutrition+cardio i suggest jump roping+ strength training, body weight excercises are good= results

Thanks for all the info guys =)

I never thought of jump rope or hula hoop, Lol =)

My boyfriend's actually the one who told me to run because I guess in the army
they told him running to get rid of bigger legs works, so I started. We have gym memberships &
basically the only things in the gym are weights and treadmill. I might try just walking then &
doing some cardio since I have the home tapes.
