Drinking a lot of coffee & soda (caffeine), smoking, weight lifting too much, and lack of sleep. Do they really stunt your growth? This is bad for me cuz I drink soda like everyday and I get 6-7 hours of sleep every night. Can someone prove me wrong that one of these things do not stunt your growth? I shouldn't be really worrying about this but I kind of am cuz I haven't seen results for over two years now so I find it strange ... I think I'm approx 5'7 (169-170 cm) right now which is midget size for my age so it'd be nice if I could grow 1 more inch or something .. so I don't know what's a myth or what's a fact - someone help me

god. I'm about 5'7-8.
I'm not sure, but here are my thoughts on these things.
Coffee? soda? most likely not. but they're not beneficial to your body either.
Same for smoking.
Lack and sleep and too much weight training. definitely.
you grow mostly in your sleep. reduce that and what do u get?
and I've seen guys train so much, they're stuck at 5'4 when they could've been much taller.

For now, I think the caffeine thing is a myth. But its not good for you for other reasons, either.
Theres no study showing it does, but theres no study showing it doesn't either.
The thing about it is that they're empty calories. If you eat too much of those, you won't get enough vitamins because you'll fill up on it and not eat nutritious food.
Now, being vitamin deficient will stunt your growth.
Lack of sleep will, too.
Smoking stunts growth too, at least in boys, according to this article:

I don't think lifting weights will stunt your growth unless you're using poor form. According to this website, it will just make you stronger ^^

You can't get taller than what your genes say. If your genes say you can only be 5'10, you can only grow UP to 5'10. Doesn't mean you will get there, but its possible if you're healthy.

drinking soda and all that will weaken your bones because of the carbonation.
they say that people live longer when they sleep 6-7 hours now, not 7-8. lol, read it off yahoo a while back.
weight training? ehh, i believe so, depends on what you do, and how you do it.
