Anyone taking the PSAT O:
taking a practice one tomorrow, and the actual one on October 18th!!! whooo can't wait. not.
That bad, huh? "/ I just remember taking a lot of notes; the tests were soo hardd >_> I'm ok with my AP Eng class though-- good teacher. We discuss things a LOT in that class so we barely have any homework except for notes. I'm procrastinating on hw again. Ahh....
Yep, PSAT your Junior year qualify you for the National Merits. They don't count towards anything freshman or sophomore year. Yep, took the test today, and I'm happy to say I passed with a satisfying 80%. - _-

yep, ill probably stay in state. Bright Futures covers 100% of the state schools, and that is WAY to good to apss up. But I mean if I get accepted into a better school that UF(which is my dream FL school), then I'll probably go there. lol. It really depends on the situation. I'll pm you about it.

I'm not really stressed about the PSATs since it's just a prep. I'm not even sure if I should take it.
Don't stress. :`D You can do it! ;D
Ohh.. Wow, AP Psychology? I was hesitating if I should take it this year or not. Ahh, I kind of regret not taking it. I dropped it for Physiology. >_> What are you guys learning about now?

Oh, I envy you. I'm really considering dropping the class; it's much harder than expected. /: And not to mention not very engaging at all @___@; Hey! Projectiles! I swear that's the next topic of the class, since we're did vectors today.
Speaking of which, I did drop my AP Physics B class, but I'm going to talk it out with my teacher and see if I can (unofficially) self-study. Does that count at all towards the courses that colleges look it? Anyway, I switched into CAD - Computer Assisted Drafting/Design, and I'm really, really excited. :3

I feel your pain! It drives me nuts having people ask me "Hey where are you going for college/uni?" "What do you plan to major in?" "What career are you going to be pursuing?"
Every time someone asks me that I'm just like
I'm actually pretty limited on what I can do. My parents don't want me to go out of state, or even live in dorms. So that eliminates A LOT of universities for me. I live in Louisiana and there's not many excelling colleges. Currently there are only two places that I would be interested in (Tulane & Loyola though both are top 20 for Princeton Review's list of party schools
I don't want to be anything related to medical. I know that for sure. I don't mind working with people, computers, business, or any of that really. If there were more places were I could possibly intern at for the summer or during the school year to get an idea of what things are like in a specific field I'd so jump at the opportunity but I'm just so restricted that it drives me nuts. A lot of people think I'm lazy and underachieving but I'm just getting pulled back by my parents and don't have that many opportunities where I'm from.

I want to major in Interior design and fashion. My dream school is RISD! gosh, I really want to go to that school but MCAD, MIAD, and MICA are my other top schools. What is up with the M's? hahah.
No I'm actually not taking any classes to prep myself in the future, I'm couldn't even take Art class. It was filled up! But I do have a sewing machine, and actually do sew my own clothes [ Lolita to be more exact ]
My step-mom wants me to become a doctor like my step-sister, but I'll pass. But if It all fails, then I'm going to teach English in Japan. That's my second Job! I love kids, but not under 5 =D
Just find something that you like to do. Find something that you think is easy while others think its hard, and find something that will make you happy, that you know you can always smile while doing it. Don't pick something that your going to complain about all time. That's no fun!

Wow. My mom is dying to kick me out of the house once I graduate. She wants me to " explore " as my mom says. She's kind of happy that I'm not picking a school in IL. she said she wants me to open my mind and pick schools out of state to see the outside world.
hahah, I'm the totally opposite of you. I like to be lazy and sometimes underachieving and just sit at home, eat and sleep all day. My mom is the one that always wants me to go out and have fun.

I think they help..
Uhh I'm a junior now, but I started taking reading/writing part of SAT practice in 8th/9th grade.
And began doing all 3 sections [reading math writing] SAT practice summer of '07.
I took the PSAT for the first time last year and got 201 (97th percentile compared to Juniors at my school), which I thought was pretty good.
Hopefully I can get waaaaaayyy better this year, when it counts!
I think prepping helped me out. Like the how the testing system is like, what to expect, etc.
TIPS:
- Buy the SAT Prep books and practice, practice, practice.
- Focus on your weak points [math? reading? writing?] and try to improve mainly on those areas.
- Find some vocabulary cards and take them around, try to learn in your free time.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

The teacher asked so many questions.
The questions on the quiz are so analytical.
Like I read and I still don't get what the john tesh he's trying to say in the question.
T_T I really hope that AMSCO History book would help me. For the love of god.
I do have an idea of my career path.
I think I want to be a History teacher just because I am so fascinated by history even though
I hate memorizing dates with passion
My schools? I don't really have such a dream for my schools because my parents don't want me
to go out of state. They say it costs so much and they'll get heart attacks or something if they can't
like see me every so often.
I'm from Jersey so probably Rutgers-NB but I hear Gettysburg College was a good history college.
I don't know..
what's a good History major college?
My schedule is so mediocre. It's not like you smart, HONORS HONORS people
Latin 1H
U.S. History 2AP
Chemistry 1A
Study Hall
Algebra 2A
Broadcasting (Ugh..I wanted to be in freakkin COOKING..COOKING)
English 3A (It was either this or English 3AP, and I don't like English)

Anyways, this year is kinda ok for me.
My classes aren't too bad.
But I'm kind of a slacker anyways. =X

Last year I got a 214; wasn't expecting to beat that, so I texted my friend guessing I'd gotten somewhere in between 204 and 209.
219
But I know like three or four people from my school who scored in the 230-235 range :[ And they were complaining. Annoying as hell.
