although,i wouldn't.

i have a crapload of finals to study for. and i have like, four regents.
so i'm planning to take it in May.

and although i stopped going to prep classes,
i don't mind studying by myself.
just keep on practicing section by sections everynight or something.

for me, while studying for the marchSAT, i told myself that unless i get 21/25 correct for a section, then i could go to sleep it motivates me i guess. and i kept many flashcards on my bedtable and memorized before sleeping.

Our school we get to decide our class' schedule next year and like I chose AP government. I don't know if it's a difficult subject or not though.
Any suggestions?
I got recommended to AP Calculus but I refused because I heard it's EXTREMELY hard. I don't want to stress out my Senior year.

I took the SAT Reasoning Test at January, and I must say I wasn't well prepared. I never took the PSAT nor study for it.
The essay part we only had 25 min, I think. I only wrote 3 paragraphs. BOO ME. I received my scores, and it was pretty darn low.
I'm gonna retake it next year, and this time I'll study for it. ;P

The key to Calculus is a good teacher. Ask students taking it. My Calc teacher been teaching it for a long time and has a history of students getting 5s. He has the whole year planned and with plenty of time to review.
I don't think it's too hard. Try it. =]

You should still definitely study...I would do the entire official SAT practice tests book and definitely bulk up on vocab. It sounds like a lot but it really isn't if you do one test a week. And go over some math basics. Barron's has a really good math section. I can't say the same about their reading/writing though...I found it really awkward. The only bad thing about the College Board tests is that there aren't explanations in the back if you get problem wrong. So you have to fiigure it out yourself.

ROFL, yes the Chance Me thread is like taking the finals. I get so frustrated because alot of the stats there are really good, but people are like its a reach or a high reach, and i'm like ohh crap! I'm thinking of Duke, Emory and the rest, i can just forget about. You're so lucky NC Chapel Hill is your safety..its a really good school. I think I'm most likely gonna stay in florid because there's a scholarship that pays for all your tuition. Cross my fingers of UF!! But i feel the same way about UF that way you feel about UC. I don't wanna go to high school all over again. I've given up on all hopes of getting a higher score on the SATs, but my ACT scores werent so great either. What did you get?

i know right! these people with some amazing stats are getting dissed and questioned - that's definitely intimidating, haha. i pretty much always think, "i'm screwed" after leaving that discussion forum, LOL. man, if i could get a scholarship that paid for all of my tuition, my parents would kiss the floor. chapel hill would be pretty cheap if i ended up going there, but seriously, the main reason why i'm so ready for college, is because i wanna get the heck out of NC, haha. it's been that way since like 9th grade. but wow, that's one awesome scholarship if you end up getting it! and possibly worth going to high school all over again, haha. honestly, i haven't retaken the SATs since 10th grade, where i took it twice, and got pretty much the same score. i actually haven't taken the ACT yet though (first time on april 4, yikes.) but with the review book i'm going through, and the practice test i'm finishing up, it seems like a much better choice. and if you don't mind me asking, what did you get your first time taking it? don't tell me you're someone who thinks a 35 is considered bad, haha. XD

what?? you can take AP Lang as a junior? at my school we can only take AP Lit/Lang when we're seniors. unfair.

yeah, my school has rules like that too, but for classes like AP Calc & AP Environmental Sci., which we can only take as seniors.

I totally admire the people who are going to major in art because I'll never have the patience to spend hours on a single painting, much less have the skill to actually draw it. lol that's why I chose ceramics!

maydai- good luck senior year! your schedule is insane! um if you wanted to know, I applied for a summer program in Taiwan where you go there and teach kids english for a month. actually it's one month of training, two weeks of teaching and one week of touring Taiwan. last year only 1 out of 3 people got in, so I'm really nervous. They ask for a copy of your transcript, your extra curriculars, your SAT score, what alumni programs your parents are in...it's really competitive.

haha, no Roger...alot of the seniors at my school are taking the same classes. And then there are those who are only coming to school for a class a day. Some kids this year took all AP's too. First time I took the SATs, I got a 1880, which was so-so for me. My first time taking the ACTs, I got a 26. HAHAH, I would literally run up and down the street kissing everyone, stranger or not, if i got a 35. In my dreams maybe. I just wanna move on with high school, and go to college, even though it gonna be the same exact process all over again.

I wanted to apply for one at Miami University, because it was perfect...close to home, free and kinda interesting...until I found out it was in OAKLAND OHIO! WTF? I applied for Girls State, and I'm an alternative, so cross my fingers I get to go. I also applied to Economics for Leaders, but I don't think I'm gonna end up doing that one. And I'm probably gonna intern at the mental institute if everything falls through. Hopefully. Oh, and there's a medical camp that I did last year, and probably will do again this year. I've had the hardest times finding programs because 1. it's too expensive, 2. too far away 3. too long and 4. too boring. Well the ones that are really competitive and good for resumes, most of their deadlines are over. What state do you live in? Maybe you can do the Governor's School thing. But since you go to cc anyways, go to the Summer Programs thing at the bottom, and there are a BUNCH of programs there, but most of them are expensive.

If I get in, the only thing I have to play for is the plane ticket there. The boarding, food and everything else is all paid for because the program is sponsored by the government. but the plane ticket is like $1350.

oops and typo. it's only a week of training not a month of training.
