Cute! Haha
Just finished the SATs about an a hour ago, and ..I probably didn't do too well.
Summer has finally started & go SENIORS!
The sad thing is that I have summer school starting Monday. I'm trying to get ahead
I only have 3 days & all the Fridays off, though I'm not complaining

I'm so psyched!
it's going to be really sad at this year's graduation though.
the seniors were so awesome this year.
but the really awesome thing is that I only have one final during finals week.
YES!! hahahahaha!!
is anyone taking SAT classes over the summer this year?
I have to take them again...*sigh* SATs aren't too bad, but just thinking about the hours I have to put into it again frustrates me.

i didn't have any finals either, which made this past week awesome.
i'm so excited, even though i have the ACT coming up in 4 to 5 days, haha.
it sucks, but after june 13, i'll be completely free!
christee8876: awe, but i'm sure it'll help a ton. (:
you're actually lucky! SAT classes aren't even offered anywhere where i live.
so i have to motivate myself to study these dang ACT books, and that never turns out good, haha.

And I have my physics final in about 5hrs - which I still didn't study for.
I didn't study for the past 3 finals I took either, but I was sure I did okay in those.
But after that, work is over!!

When we're researching college application deadlines, do we look under the year fall of 2009 (2009~2010) or the (2010 one)?
Like on this one:
* FAFSA on the Web applications must be submitted by midnight Central Daylight time, June 30, 2009.
* Corrections on the Web forms must be submitted by midnight Central Daylight Time, September 15, 2009.
* Note: Your school must have your complete and correct information by your last day of enrollment in the 2008-2009 school year.
The 2009-2010 School Year (July 1st, 2009 - June 30th, 2010):
* FAFSA on the Web applications must be submitted by midnight Central Daylight time, June 30, 2010.
* Corrections on the Web forms must be submitted by midnight Central Daylight time, September 15, 2010.
* Note: Your school must have your complete and correct information by your last day of enrollment in the 2009-2010 school year.
Does the 2009~2010 one apply to us? I don't know which one I should be looking at.

FAFSA is dealt with after you've decided on a college, so it can't be due in the fall of this year.
but for college apps, it depends. some deadlines for specific colleges are fall '09, while others are around jan. in 2010.
on another note, HELL YEAR IS OVER. i'm ecstatic.
i can't believe some of you guys still have 9-10 more days left! ):
my teachers gave us our summer assignment today, and i have a feeling it's gonna dominate my entire summer.
we have to put all of the following in a portfolio by the first day back...
- the common application
- a second application (to a college of your choice)
- resume
- reference letter (a list of questions we have to fill out about ourselves to help our teachers with recommendations)
- list of possible graduation topics
i'm kind of glad they're making this an assignment, because i was planning on starting a lot of apps/essays over the summer,
but i'm still nervous about the whole thing.
by the way, how many colleges are you guys planning on applying to?
my teachers were like, "we generally recommend 3-4 apps (a realistic dream college, a "reach" college, a safety college, etc.).
if you do more than 5, we're gonna hurt you!"
...and i'd already planned on applying to like 8-9 colleges, haha.
oh well, guess they're gonna have to hurt me.

1 of the colleges is a community college
For some reason, I am leaning towards the community college route
just because I find it stupid to do
all 4 years of college for an English major.
2 of the colleges are in my state (NJ)
and 1 is in another state (NY)
I am considering the NY college just because I hear it has a great English program
but the school itself sucks in comparison to the rest of the colleges I decide
to apply for. Gah I don't know >.<

Oh my gosh! Me too! I want to major in English (or nursing) and I'm thinking about going to a community college first. But I still don't know. I'm interested in a college in NY. I've been looking into Wells College over there, but I'm still not sure. From what I've heard its a great school. Which one in NY are you looking at?
Goodness, time flies. I never thought I'd actually get to a point where I'd do college stuff. I feel like I was still finger painting yesterday!
Took the ACT yesterday. It was pretty easy, at least I'm thinking so at the moment. I'm planning on taking it every chance this year till my last shot at the end of my senior year. I want my score already!!

The Princeton Review 365 Best College book labelled it under "Best Colleges for English majors"
and I looked into it.
And they have 17% of their students enroll as English majors and in juxtaposition to that
the instructors have PHDS from prestigious colleges.
It seems like a good fit for me plus I will be away from the parental units (thank god)
but still community college would really save me a lot of moola =/

I had two borderline grades before finals so I'm super nervous.
I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight. :/
omg. and sats come out in 10 days.
a;sdfowi;eafklj
this summer is so stressful.
there's college apps, sats, work, and pressure.
i'm a nervous wreck right now. I just want my grades to come out!!
can you guys believe we're seniors? it feels so surreal. but hahahaha it's so exciting!!!
what a far way we've come!
I'm starting UC apps at the end of this month. But I'll probably keep revising them or rewriting them until the week before apps are due. :]
and my plan for private apps is...well I don't really have a plan since I have no clue about their prompts, if they change, or when the release them.
it's so nerve racking to write the essays, especially for privates, because if you're on the border, your essay could determine if you're accepted or rejected.
I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack.
