Some people tell me it's sleep apnea but don't you have to be overweight to have it?

you don't have to be overweight when you have sleep apnea.
there's another type where the brain "turns off" and you forget to breathe.
it's recommended that you go to a doctor, it can be crucial...

Well, when I'm like that, or just regular sleeping, I toss and turn 'cause I feel like I'm suffocating, and then I wake up to take a huge gasp for air then sleep again...

last week in the morning i woke up gasping for air like really badly. i was hacking and everything. it seemed like i wasn't breathing for quite some time bcuz my lungs hurt really bad and it felt constricted. like the air was all sucked out of it and left like that for a while. so my muscles were strained. i had to breathe calmly and slowly for a while to get them working again.
