Featured on Yahoo's front page.
"See a cool new phone that touches you back"

http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/haptic-technology-1.jpg

"If you thought the Apple iPhone was amazing, then feast your eyes -- and fingers -- on this phone from Samsung. Dubbed the Anycall Haptic, the phone features a large touch-screen display just like the iPhone. But it does Apple's revolutionary gadget one better, at least for now: It enables users to feel clicks, vibrations and other tactile input. In all, it provides the user with 22 kinds of touch sensations."

What do you think?

I don't get it. The haptic isn't the first phone to do that -- SKY phones have been doing that for over a year now. It doesn't seem like it's so great that it'll make you want to fork out hundreds of dollars to get it (imo).

you cant beat the iphone on feedback features alone... thats just stupid.

to beat it you need a better internet browser, and better apps, something not many phones except for the N95 have been able to do...

and marketing. probably the one thing that's almost impossible to beat the iphone over.

so, no, the haptic wont beat the iphone with 22 feedback sensations.

some Haptic lovers are maybe rejoicing now. since the phone is in Yahoo news maybe it'll be released soon in the US.

Anyways... I think people love the haptic phone because DBSK modeled for it... But still the design and the variety of colors that you can choose still rocks!

Exactly. The list goes on and on. I mean come on, here are we are many years past since the first iPod shook up the industry and despite all this time it still remains as the leader in personal mp3 players...the iPhone won't get knocked out that easily. Even the clones that are out that try to copy iPhone as close as possible still aren't better. The Mac OS X integration (and now with Enterprise level support) is unbeatable.

Samsung Omnia is way better than Haptic by far, but no phone's UI can match Apple's Iphone. That is a fact.

In my opinion, the Iphone may be unbeatable but Samsng would try its very best to try to revamp it to make it as close as the Iphone before releasing it in other parts of the world.

The product differeniation it had would be the haptic feedback.

Although its not everything when compared with the Iphone, at least it IS something compared to a lot of Iphone clones out there...

The plus side of it is- yeah, DBSK modelled for the phone so it will be popular as a fashion statement in some way compared to the Iphone.

Overall, Both phones are awesome but I prefer the Haptic for the wide range of colours it offers....

For me, style is more important than function..as long as the basic functions are available

Actually, I checked it up in the store and they said it's released under a different name...

The difference is that it's a global model and a bit smaller.
Why do I always break the sig rules with Changmin pictures?

Maybe it's because he's too...
