Omg I've tried 6523 times signing up for a cy and this was the only time my e-mail did NOT fail when resending my ID. But It's been almost a week and still no acceptance -___-

Despite they rejected, I still try to regester and everytime I clik on the bottom button, I always get this

Y'know when you type in your e-mail address, and there's a little button beside it that says "중복확인"? A little window pops up, and it basically tells you whether or not that particular e-mail address has already been used for registration. At the bottom of that little pop-up window is another button. CLICK IT. If you just "x" out of the window, then when you register you get that message that you kept getting. If you do all this and try to register again but it still doesn't work, that means your e-mail address has already been registered once before and you'll need to use a different one.

Ok I went to view my profile, and this came up. I can't even log in to mine either.

It says "This is the hompi of a terminated/deleted account".

Well if you were successful and was accepted, then they would've sent you first a you've-registered-pre-acceptance e-mail and later an acceptance e-mail. No, I think the problem is with what you said before, about the characters you have to retype at the bottom. It's an e-mail from the Help Desk saying that you didn't enter your e-mail address correctly, or that they can't verify your e-mail address. Without the combination of a real e-mail address and identification proof, they can't accept you as a member. They said they'll be able to help you better after you enter your e-mail correctly.

hotmail.com and hanmail.net will not work for registration a lot of times.

Hm.. well I know in earlier threads, ppl would keep the registration window open while asking ppl in this thread to retype it FOR them (either using the direct link or using print screen and editing). Then they would copy and paste into the text box.

EDIT :: TiNG I found out that this message will also pop up if you do not fill out the third phone number (cell phone number). If you DON'T fill it out, it says "___ 선택 ___ - ____" right? Even though that 선택 means "Choose", the registration system recognizes it as non-numbers! o_o So put 82 in the first box, select any of the choices, and then enter your cell number (or any random 7 digits). All of your phone numbers can be fake. Also, you only NEED to fill out the 1st and 3rd phone numbers. Hope this works!

It says the e-mail is use-able. I think there might be a problem with the picture.. maybe b'cuz of the parentheses? Don't attach it, and try to register. (You're allowed to send it through e-mail after.) If you still get that same message, then it's definitely your e-mail address. Get one through gmail.com then.

Some ppl on this thread said they had to wait up to 2 months for acceptance. What did your e-mail say? That your acceptance was pending?

Hey Butterfly! Okay, so I felt really bad b'cuz I seem to really be sucking at helping you >< so I went through a "mock registration" and intentionally did several different things wrong, to see what messages would pop up. XD

If you DON'T fill out the retype box, you'll get this msg:
입력창에 영문대문자를 입력 해주세요.

If you fill out the retype WRONG, you'll get this msg:
이미지 상자의 영문 대문자를 잘못 입력 하셨습니다.

Also, seeing from the still-shots you posted, you actually retyped the characters CORRECTLY! ^^* The retype is ONLY 7 characters (either Korean alphabet, English alphabet, or numbers).

The ONLY time you get the msg you keep getting:
이메일 중복확인을 꼭 해주셔야합니다
- is IF you did NOT click that 2nd button in the window!

1. Fill in e-mail address.

2. Next to e-mail address, select 직적입력 from the drop-down menu.

3. Next to that drop-down menu, click on 중복확인.

4. IF that particular e-mail has not already been registered in the system, a small window will pop-up saying this:

이메일이 등록되어 있지 않습니다. Your e-mail address has not already been registered.

기입하신 이메일을
이용하실수 있습니다. You may use the e-mail address you have entered.

5. At the bottom of that small pop-up window, you MUST click the little button 확인.

If you've done ALL of that correctly and you STILL get that same msg... then I think the system is having some sort of incompatibility with your internet/computer. Let me know if this still doesn't help. If you want, I'll (try to) register for you.

Yay, you've been pre-approved lol! If you haven't already sent them an ID, then send one to the e-mail address listed there. Obviously, you need to send it from the e-mail you registered with, and don't forget to include your name in the e-mail! The name on your ID has to EXACTLY match the name you registered with (they changed their policies so foreigners can no longer register with a nickname). You have 7 days to do so, otherwise your account with be cancelled and you'll have to re-register. And no, they don't check ANY of the phone numbers. You could've just made one up. XP

OMG I'm getting crazy. I read at first page that we can use nickname. I don't know that they've changed T_T
So that means I have to re-register with other email address? What's about my ID? Do I have to wait untill they cancell my account and then I re-register with the same information except my name.(I don't want to change my email address) Can I redo right now? And do I have to type my name in my language with some punctuation that English doesnt use? ANd do I have to type my surname? I have to say that my ID card isn't in English and there're some difference

^ I know that you can register with your Korean name, as long as they can recognize that your Korean surname and English surname sound the same... but I'm not so sure about other languages. o_o If your nickname does not even remotely resemble the name on your ID... I don't think they'll accept you. They may e-mail you though and ask you for a different ID, I think. Also, once you register with your name, you cannot change it afterwards. (But you CAN change your domain name: www.cyworld.com/______) If you want to use the same e-mail address, you will have to wait until your account is cancelled (or maybe you can ask them to cancel it)... but before we think about that kinda stuff, I suggest you wait to see if they accept you or not. It'll take 1-2 weeks usually... but some ppl did have to wait up to 2 months. o_O Hopefully they'll just accept you!

So now, do you think I should resend them my pic and with my name or nickname?

^ No, it shouldn't matter what the document name is. "ID" is fine lol. The only problem that might arise is if they want an e-mail attachment instead of a link to an internet server. But they'd tell you so.
