It's not that I was denied four times...but I couldn't figure out why my emails would never send to cyworld. Yeah, I used the same ID everytime. But finallllyyyy I figured out what was wrong from the beginning. The reason the emails wasn't working was because I just posted the link to my ID instead of writing some text in there too. Apparently, I needed some. & once I figured that out, there was another problem. My name didn't match the one on my ID. -__- The whole time I've been using a Koreanized version of my english name. Since I'm not Korean, it didn't work out. So finally I got it straight with sending the email with text and using my english first name (only).

Actually, out of all the emails I've ever recieved from cyworld, only one was in english.

BUT I GOT ACCEPTED TODAY

It's weird cause I got the acceptance email at like 6:25 and then a few minutes later I got the english email I got the other day (but it was in korean). I'm able to log in and stuff so I just ignored that other email.

Ugh, I registered with my hotmail email and my friend also registered with her hotmail email and we're both getting YOUR MESSAGE IS DELAYED ETC and eventually having the email fail to send to cycop1. Is hotmail just not gonna work for this? Anyone know from experience?

Im not really sure. Maybe as long as it has your basic info (name, bday, add, etc..) and it's not expired yet...

You can use your Driver's License, School Id, Passport...

They really starting to crack down on school IDs too. I have no idea why they're so crazy strict. A driver's license or passport are the best choices. It needs to have your name and a picture, at the very least. You can lightly blur the other info out if it really makes you anxious. And the name you register with MUST EXACTLY MATCH the name on whatever ID you submit.

The first one says click to get 5 free dotoris... but I'm pretty sure it'll tell you to sign up for something first. The second one says to sign up your cell phone number (presumably to get some dotoris). The third one has links which explain each main feature of Cyworld.

You got a 장식고리 (left corner icon) as a gift from 슈크. Below it is the message she sent with the gift. Where it says 슈크님께... you can choose how many points to give her for whichever category. It's for those bars on the top right-hand corner of your hompi, and whichever bar you choose for her will go up by however many points you selected. Below that it's asking you what your current mood is. And below that you're welcome to respond to 슈크 with a thank you message.

i hate how it shows everything you update.
is there any way of not showing it?

alrighty, it took me 1 hour to figure out how to register and resize my ID image etc, but i finally registered! just waiting for a reply..hope i get admitted. It usually takes one week right? one question, i got an email from cyworld straight after i registered. It included an email and fax address. Do i have to send another cop of my ID to them or somthing? Thanks!

It probably say that u need to attach a copy of ur id. It can not be an attachment but a link to the ur ID. eg photobucket. And it must be sent in within 7 days.

-edit- Sorry! another question...when we register, we had to put our passport name, and mine is in English, obviously hehe. I don't have any Korean name, and if i translate my name to korean, it doean't work cuz my translated last name doesnt sound like my real last name. I've never seen a cyworld account with an English name..is it even possible?? lol or do we MUST have a korean name? :S thanks!

^ Actually it's mandatory for yours to be in English. You can't change your name to Korean, unless you are Korean and your Korean name is romanized somewhere on your ID.
