&i found the 2 coupons, but how to use them&how much are they worth? im confused and i wish i could read&understand korean. *sighs*
also how do i hide my birthdate that shows on my hompy or whatever it's called?

i wanted to customize it, but it only let me MOVE my minime and the bottom part is like blank squares....

Both coupons can only be used for your miniroom. One coupon is good for 1 floor, and the other coupon is good for 1 wall. The floors and walls don't vary much in price (~6 dotoris I think), but in any case, each coupon is good for ANY 1 floor/wall. When you're browsing through the floor and wall options, just click on the one you want. A window will pop-up, and instead of choosing to pay with dotoris, you pay with your coupon. And yes, if you want to decorate your miniroom, you will need to buy all of those things too: furniture, pets, random floating things, windows, balconies, other mini-ppl, etc etc.

I haven't seen a storyroom tutorial to date, but you purchase storyroom backgrounds and such too. If you look around in the gift shop, there's stickers and stamps and such. Most ppl--who actually decorate their storyroom--will put up pictures of themselves or them with their gf/bf. Then you proceed to place words and drawings and smileys and stamps appropriate to your "story" all over the place.

I think you should look through this entire thread. Most of your questions were previously answered, and I know there's a tutorial about how to remove your birthdate from public view.

* I was able to change my non-korean name into korean character-name by writing to the cyworld helpdesk. It wasnt the name i registered but my real english name. my real name is too long so i picked 3 plausible syllables from it to make it sound and look korean, apparently they agreed.

* To unshow your birthdate
1. click (tab) Profile
2. under 내 소개, click 기본정보, you'll see your personal profile. Beside your birthdate is a selection of 3 on how you'll show it; Topmost -> Everyone will see, Middle -> Only your friends or 1chon , Bottom -> Secret (no one will see but u).

* Yes indeed, you need to pay using any furniture, background and anything else for your miniroom using dotoris at the cyworld/nate mall.

That happens when I use Firefox. Cyworld really only works properly with Internet Explorer or Maxthon.

Oh yeah, always use IE. Cause I think some stuff won't work on firefox.

To set the profile pic [I THINK] click the edit above your name,birthdate,e-mail address. And it's the one that says 이미지. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I uploaded my profile pic the first day I got my cy and I haven't changed it. So I don't remember lol.

What's the point of the Visitor section? You leave comments, yes...but can't you do that on the main page? You can leave longer comments in the Visitor part right?

Unfortunately, I don't think the cyworld background music player works with Macs.
I think the music only plays with IE.

I think everyone should know that 99.9% of computer/internet users in Korea use Microsoft Internet Explorer. It has to do with laws passed nearly a decade ago. Almost all secure transactions work only on Internet Explorer. (They might work on Maxthon, since that's IE2.) Well... okay it's more like most features work with ActiveX type plug-ins, and those only work with IE (sometimes Firefox.. but usually not). The minority of MAC and Linux users are more limited in what they can and can't do online, unless they're connected to the government. So... even though IE is very not secure, it should be used when configuring your Cyworld at least. I use Firefox, and now increasingly Opera, for everything else.

Of course, in Korea today you can do almost ANYTHING on your cell phone, including things like bank transactions.
