I'm planning to buy the used Sony Cybershot DSC-W120 camera from eBay because it's cheaper.

This one:

However, the problem is that it only comes with the camera, battery and battery charger and memory card.

What it is missing is the cable (to transfer pictures) and the sony software, and I was wondering, are those important at all?

I use Apple's IMac computer and I'm worried that it won't be compatible. Will I be able to transfer my pictures onto the computer with just a USB cable and no software? Is it software necessary at all?

And is there a memory card slot in the IMac? I can't find it.

Oh and does anyone have this camera? How is it?

Thankssss in advance!!~~~ sweatingbullets.gif

My Sony W1 uses a very standard USB Mini-B connector.

If you get the card reader... or buy a USB cable... they should both work fine and without drivers. Most of the cameras use USB mass storage drivers which is the same as those USB Flash drives and those dont need drivers. But I can't confirm it sad.gif

This camera uses a different cable.
You can buy this online, even at the official sony store, I believe.
The old ones uses the mini-usb, which was quite handy.

Either get the cable or a memory card reader =).

I also have one of these cameras, you don't need any software.
Plug in the USB and you're ready to go.
I'm using a windows PC however, but USB is universal like where it stands for so I guess it'll be plug and play.
