ii need help.
im 5'3 and about 100 pounds.
ii dont know if thats normal but ii think i'm petite and ii would like to gain some weight and grow taller.
I've tried eating more but thats kinda hard and im an active person.
ii go to the gym and play handball. i've tried to stop that and juss stay home and eat but it seems soo hard to gain weight.
This might sound stoopid since most people are trying to lose weight and im trying to gain it but ii would like to try anything.

Why don't you do more strength training to build muscle? It's a healthier way to put on weight. Plus, muscle weighs more than fat. And eat a lot of protein (lean chicken, meats, etc). You shouldn't really go about gaining weight just by being sedentary and eating.

hrmmm.. how old are you? if you`re under 18... i`d say don`t change anything about your diet or lifestyle at all, because when you`re a few years older, you`ll probably find that you`ll gain weight very easily.

i used to want to gain weight last year, but never really did anything about it. and oh boy - that was only 7 months ago, now i`d like to lose a bit of weight >>" hahas.

however if you really do want to gain weight now - do it in a healthy way as described by soompier above ^^.

I think it is hard for anyone to give you any useful advice because you haven't shown what you eat on a daily basis. Try posting everyday what you are eating, from waking to sleeping.

Healthy fats, like nuts, help put on the good kind of weight and are supposed to be good for your brain, too.

If you're having a hard time gaining weight, it could just be your genetic make-up. I know a girl who's stick thin and she prays every night to get fatter. =P Never works.

Maybe she should eat and not pray haha praying makes her use her energy! Thats the reason!

O yeah, you should try to gain muscle instead of fat like someone said earlier. Its much more healthier, just start picking up some dumbells and eat foods with high proteins
